This is most certainly one of the MOST important post that I will share or have shared, and truly it is the REAL REASON any of us should be "blogging"... to reach those who do not yet know, accept or LIVE for Jesus... and MORE IMPORTANT is YOUR DECISION to
RECEIVE JESUS and ALL HE IS and has GIVEN and GIVES for YOU
as Your personal SAVIOR , FRIEND and most important LORD!

(2) BECAUSE of JESUS (S.O.)
The most important decision you will ever make is receiving Jesus as your LORD and Savior.
I'd like to introduce you to Him today as we walk along His Garden path.
Come with me into His garden and walk along with us, as I share Jesus' Words with you and maybe you'll want to ask Him to come along side you and offer you more in this life and a much better choice for life after death, to be eternally with God. You see, that emptiness that you're trying to fill can only be filled by Him. It's a longing deep within you that He placed inside when He created you that only He can fill or meet. Many times we think someone or something else will fill it. But I tell you, they are so temporary, a wisp of the wind. Putting our expectations in them, only will lead us down a wrong path, a hard path.
So please take a few minutes and come along to meet my Jesus. I hope and pray that He will touch your heart like He did mine, in such a way that He will become your Jesus, your friend, your Savior and your Lord.
Let's walk along THIS path as I talk about Jesus, it is much brighter and usually He comes along side me with His light to brighten any darkness or lighten any load. I hope He will meet us up ahead where we need to cross over a large seemingly bottomless pit. You've been there at some time in your life. I know I have…
A place of hopelessness, a place of despair or brokenness, an unresolved issue; an infirmity; an economic crisis, any crisis or loss, a relentless hounding of accusation, condemnation, or even some shame. But none of that is found in Him nor does it come from Him.
I've thrown them all of those in that abyss up ahead. Many of the messes of my life came from wrong choices and poor decisions. I was wronged by others and I'm sure that I have hurt some also. Each day in our fallen world, we try to get by, we are bound to offend someone or be offended. Oops, look out for the rocks along our way, stumbling blocks that can cause you to trip.
Ohhh, and don't let the thickets wall you in and keep you from moving forward… just look for the path and stay on it. We could try calling out for Jesus to help us if you think you're ready to meet Him. He's very good about leading us and guiding us with His Word. But you have to really listen and try to follow but with time, you'll have more and more understanding and it will come easier.
Let me share about when I first met Him. ( I proceed to tell "THIS IS MY STORY" that I've shared here in seven parts). The moment I met Jesus, He became my Companion and Faithful friend forever. He stays right there beside you even if you're unaware. He laughs with you. He cries with you. In fact, He even hurts with you, feeling your pain, knowing your suffering.
He changes everything if you allow Him. He waits for you every morning without fail. He runs with you. He rests with you. He knows your every thought and need before you ask Him, but He wants you to ask Him, He desires that you seek Him. Jesus was there even when I was not in church or godly places. Yes, He even has gone into some pretty sinful places, wanting me to come away with Him, instead of being tempted or fall once again, or be victim of someone else's wrong thinking or actions.
He has protected and defended me. He delights in me when I do good, or just when I find joy in His creation, in Him. He understands me so I'm sure He will you, too, better than I. He makes me think often "what would Jesus do?" as I consider my options, if only I take time, pause and wait. Often I do many things without thinking, impulsively or out of bad habits. Yet He is always ready to forgive me and teach me more or again the same truth that He already had shown me.
He is unlike anyone else. He wants us to be more like Him. Having been human, He knows our weaknesses and our frailties. He never hesitates to obey or come to our aide. He is the best friend because He's the only One I know who never abandons, or forsakes you, in fact He gave up His own life, in payment for our sins. He would have done it just for one of us, but He did it for all of us. He sacrificed His life. He paid our debt in full.
Can you imagine this? It's as if we go to court and are sentenced for the death penalty for all our wrongs, our debts to others or society, and He goes before the Judge and tells him, He will go in place of us, He will pay it all, He will suffer the death penalty. Yet He broke free from the grave & had the ultimate victory over sin and death, something we cannot do for ourselves or work for… He gives all this freely from an everlasting love for an eternity with Him.
Ohhh I just heard Him. He's up ahead. Did you hear Him call your name? It might sound like a whisper since you still don't really know Him or very much about Him. Spending time reading my favorite book will help you recognize Him better when He calls.
Let's sit down here to wait in my favorite resting place along this flowing stream of water. This is where He likes to come. It's so refreshing! Let me show you the book that details the life of Jesus and so much more. It's a manual for life. There are actually 4 different accounts given of His life but the entire book from beginning to end points to Jesus as the way, the truth and the life. He is the only way that we can know and come to God, the Father. He came to show us the character of God! He longs for you to get to know Him as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are One. He is One.
He really does not need an introduction. I delight so in the details of His life but it would be better if you start by reading John's account… or here's a fun way, on my cellphone, that you can view a comedian on a video that introduces Him …
(I could not resist adding that here).
Yet reading or listening to His Word is the best. To soak in this Word daily. It may be hard to set aside time or to understand at first, but the more you do, the better it will be. If you accept Jesus, it will really help your day to day existence and give you the eternal one He died to give you. It will not take away all your hardships in life, but He will be with you to help and even carry you through if you lean on him. There's a lot to learn but let this capsulize it for now:
"Because of Jesus in you…
You can be completely free of guilt.
You have the Holy Spirit of God dwelling in you.
You are guaranteed eternal life with Him.
You inherit what He inherits.
You can now see into the realm of God
…you will have God's perspective on life's matters.
You can rise above your limitations.
You have hope for healing.
You can enjoy greater abundance in your life.
You have become new."

Wouldn't you like to meet Him? I know He's waited a long time for this day. Even if you knew Him once, but ran away, He's waiting. Even if you heard about Him once before and rejected the idea of Him saving you, rescuing you or changing your life, or a church gave you the wrong ideas of Him or hurt you by inappropriate words , teachings or actions (they're human too and make mistakes) but God doesn't, He's waiting.
He wants me to show you how Jesus laid down to bridge the gap between our old life and a new one with God, the Father. All that 'stuff' we can throw in that pit ahead, separates us from our heavenly Father and destination. We cannot get there on our own.
Come with me to the pit up ahead where you can cast all your past hurts, habits and hang-ups. Allow Jesus to cross you over to the Father.
See how He has laid down from this side to the other… He wants you to come to the Father through Him… take the hand, let's walk across together. His promises are true.
You can find those out as you walk through His Word, getting to know Him better and His truth written in the Bible, His Word for us... all this and so much more is waiting for you over there. See! Look! He's calling... do you hear Him pulling you closer? calling you to draw near? ahh Yes, Lord... I hear You and remember well Your sweet whisper the first time I walked this way and answered You and spoke my beliefs and prayer to You from my heart...

Receiving Jesus is just the beginning, you must be daily mindful of all He did for you.
Here is a visual presentation that will sum this all up beautifully in what we call ...

It will be my honor to pray with you to "Receive Jesus" and then the Bible tells us to tell someone. I count as both, if you'd like to share that with me in the comments. But no matter, angels are rejoicing as you say these words or your own, just talk it out from your heart or pray this aloud:
Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned against You and ask You to forgive me. I am sorry that my sin has hurt You and other people in my life. I acknowledge that I could never earn salvation by my good works, but I come to You and trust in what Jesus did for me on the cross. I believe that You love me and that Jesus died and rose again so that I can be forgiven and come to know You. I ask You to come into my heart and that You would be Lord of my life. I trust You with my life and I thank You for loving me so much that I can know You here on earth, and spend the rest of eternity with You in heaven. In Jesus name, Amen.

GO in the peace of Jesus Christ and Welcome to the family of God. I'll be waiting in His garden for you for my next walk... did you come along yesterday to meet the Father?
I know Jesus would love to lead you to Him...
You can go back here to come to "Know the Father" or if you missed the beginning of this path through "My Secret Garden" ... ohhh and since Jesus sings His love over me (and you),
I included a song to Him because I just wanna thank Him and I do not want to take away from this special moment in His garden here so it's in a separate place...

(2) BECAUSE of JESUS (S.O.)

So beautiful Peggy... this post brought back precious memories of when I first met my Lord. It truly was the best day of my entire life.
ReplyDeleteI hope this reaches that certain someone (or plural) who is touched and who hears the call He is making, through this post. He will use it, I am sure.
Bless you, and thank you for reminding us of the importance of being a ready witness...hungry to see that lost soul come to know Him.
So very beautiful!! And as I read this I am reminded that Jesus is "The WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE" (John 14:6).
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I read this with tears in my eyes--I am one (as you know) who knew all the facts about Jesus--just the facts--then I ran away.
My homecoming was so joyous and overwhelming, and I knew that He had been pursuing me for years. And as a result of this, my life has been changed!!
We know that God wants EVERYONE to come to Him, but there are some that will still reject Him....but, we must not give up....NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP (in the words of Winston Churchill).
We have this joy of Jesus, and we're not keep it to ourselves, but to give it away...just as Jesus gave Himself for you, me and countless others.
Thanks for reminding me that I am to be a witness...always a witness....being a Christ follower is not a spectator sport...but a very active pursuit...ever growing each and every moment.
Love you,
Beth
Beautifully precious sis, love you.
ReplyDeleteI'll say it, too, Peggy...this was just beautiful...how anyone could read this and not want to walk the path to God the Father is a tragedy...only the Lord knows who all will read this earnest plea and respond with "Yes, Lord...I am coming to You now..."
ReplyDeleteBless you, sister....
