(each of these is linked to the 1st one of that category with all the verses)
Let's look at what the Bible says about our IDENTITY in CHRIST. Freedom in Christ Ministries (FICM), breaks the above categories into three parts (see the linked image of theirs in the corner or in each post on this topic): I AM ACCEPTED, I AM SIGNIFICANT, I AM SECURE, which comes from Neil T. Anderson books on being free in Christ. [I shared this in my intro].
*I have changed the order this week and moved VICTORIOUS up to this week and my WFW will make this more clear. Next week I will continue with Forgiven, then Loved, etc.
Today's FOCUS:
I AM VICTORIOUS
Today's VERSE:(be sure to put your name in place of mine)
Rom. 8:37
Peggy is more than a conqueror in Christ.
No, in all these things, Peggy is more than a conqueror
through Him who loved her.
Today's Verse from (1999) Not my words but Phil's:

"Are we really conquerors despite the "trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword" that Paul mentioned two verses earlier? Yes! That is the ultimate Christian assurance. Nothing can separate us from God's love in Christ. The Evil One and his allies can ruin our finances, seek to destroy our relationships, wrack our bodies with pain, and even kill our bodies. However, the Evil One cannot have our hearts when they are surrendered to Jesus. And when our hearts and lives belong to Jesus, so does God's promised future! The empty tomb of Jesus assures us that our future with him is glorious, victorious, and unending."
Give me eyes to see, O God, and a heart to believe that Jesus' victory over death is my victory, too! I don't want to be derailed from my hope, faith, and love by the difficulties of life. Instead, I want to be a living testimony to Your power, victory, and grace. In Jesus' name, and for his glory, I live and pray. Amen.
And now the great words of Charles Spurgeon (Morning Devotion) on Rom.5:37:
(if you remember I wrote that CS is sometimes far too complex for me so I broke this down into bite size portions for me to read better)
We go to Christ for forgiveness, and then too often look to the law for power to fight our sins.
Paul thus rebukes us, "O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?"
Take your sins to Christ's cross, for the old man can only be crucified there: we are crucified with him. The only weapon to fight sin with is the spear which pierced the side of Jesus.
To give an illustration-you want to overcome an angry temper, how do you go to work? It is very possible you have never tried the right way of going to Jesus with it.
How did I get salvation? I came to Jesus just as I was, and I trusted him to save me.
I must kill my angry temper in the same way? It is the only way in which I can ever kill it. I must go to the cross with it, and say to Jesus, "Lord, I trust thee to deliver me from it." This is the only way to give it a death-blow.
Are you covetous?(whatever the sin) Do you feel the world entangle you? You may struggle against this evil so long as you please, but if it be your besetting sin, you will never be delivered from it in any way but by the blood of Jesus.
Take it to Christ. Tell him, "Lord, I have trusted thee, and thy name is Jesus, for thou dost save thy people from their sins; Lord, this is one of my sins; save me from it!"
Ordinances are nothing without Christ as a means of mortification. (profound)
Your prayers, and your repentances, and your tears - the whole of them put together - are worth nothing apart from Him.
"None but Jesus can do helpless sinners good;" or helpless saints either.
You must be conquerors through him who hath loved you, if conquerors at all. Our laurels must grow among his olives in Gethsemane. ~ Charles Spurgeon

I also read an extensive dissertation of the destruction of the olive orchards in Israel because of the fighting and the need to save the olive fields HERE.
*Due to the switch in the order, I needed to compile other's writings, but frankly they are much more worthwhile than my ramblings. The WORD that stands out in today's verse showing me that I AM VICTORIOUS is CONQUEROR.
And my questions to myself are:
Am I battling the trials in my life as a CONQUEROR and VICTORIOUS through Jesus? Am I a CONQUEROR? Do others see me as a CONQUEROR? What is my witness of being victorious? Am I sharing my victories as a way to share Jesus?
or do I allow the enemy territory in my mind, through my thoughts, in my heart, in my daily life, defeating me, making me weary, reminding me of things of the past or lies?
Have I picked up my SWORD of truth, important part of my daily armor, to battle and know the strategy of the enemy to attack me in my weakest area, using the SWORD to ready me for the daily battles, trials, or temptations?
WHERE IS YOUR SWORD?
at your side or in your hand
YOUR HELMET?
YOUR BREASTPLATE?
YOUR BELT?
YOUR SHOES?
and YOUR SHIELD?
Let's use ALL of these daily to have VICTORY
GREAT 8 WK. BIBLE STUDY:
YOU ARE VICTORIOUS!
(don't let the enemy steal anymore)
YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR!
