TRUST ~ LEAN ~ ACKNOWLEDGE ~ GOD DIRECTS YOUR PATHS
(A happy heavenly birthday to my dear mom, do you have birthdays anymore in heaven?) Just because you trusted in the Lord, you are celebrating with Him... and I rejoice in this, mom!
ISAIAH 61 says:
"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair."

So grateful that He will direct my ways.

One of my favorite verses!
ReplyDeleteThank you...
Happy WFW!
Peggy! My second place to visit and my second "path." I do believe there is a theme shaping up! Pondering and praying into the "path" which I should follow and waiting to hear from the Lord on this....HE always directs!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful and full of such hope! Love it!!!
Singing along the path! :)
peace,

Two of my very favorite encouraging Bible verses! One of a set of 3 of my life verses - the other two being Romans 8:28 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18! Which all lead us to FROG - Fully Rely On God, which I love to teach my grandkids. :) And count me as another who so appreciates the ministry of Don Moen! Definitely an encouraging and delightful Word-filled Wednesday for all of us, including this Sandwich Generation granny nannny! :) Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteA favorite and well proven verse that shows forth His faithfulness.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you Peggy...walk in His grace ....I love the verse that says be strong in the grace of our Lord Jesus.
Love the scripture and accompanying photo and just really captures it well! Love it *HUGS*
ReplyDeleteTrusting in the Lord is exactly what I am doing today and always.

Oh my goodness! We used the same verse today. Amazing how God works as I've often seen a "theme" on WFW and other blogs.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Thanks for a beautiful WFW, Peggy. I am okay. Love and Hugs ~
ReplyDeletePeggy,
ReplyDeleteIf I had to settle on a life verse, it would probably be this passage from Proverbs. I have always had trouble trusting, because I have always had trouble with worrying. These verses comfort me - and here's how I break them down:
-Trust - rely, depend, lean
-in the LORD - not in people or circumstances, but in the unchanging One
-with all your heart - don't hold anything back, don't be afraid to give Him your all
-and lean not on your own understanding - I cannot figure out life
-In all your ways - not just some of them, but ALL
-acknowledge Him - His truth, His love, His wisdom, His timing, His presence
-and He shall - He'll do it, oh yes He will!
-direct your paths - He'll whisper: "This is the way, walk in it."
(And a very happy birthday to your mom, Peggy. I'm thinking that she is celebrating her SECOND birthday, the day she was born into the Kingdom of God, the birthday of her salvation, every single moment she looks into the lovely face of her Savior! I rejoice in that, too!)
GOD BLESS!
love that song, now i'm gonna be humming it all night! :)
