"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

Revelation 11:17... saying, "We give thanks to You, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for You have taken Your great power and begun to reign.

Lord, I am so thankful for ...

                       GIVING THANKS 2011

Once again this year, mine will be different, rather than doing a post or a list, I will have a different Song of THANKS every day [and 'one' or more extra (the 'one' is a different version and singer)].

I give thanks daily to God through and for MUSIC. I love the arts: music, art, poetry, dance, etc. and having not developed this part of me earlier in my life or in school, I enjoy every chance I can to express myself this way or learn more.

See my GIVING THANKS PAGE above for more details.

Lord, I give You thanks today for ...

#1. YOUR LOVE LETTERS to me (us), YOUR PROMISES in the BIBLE... all 365+  all 66 inspired books of the Bible: HIS WORD. (OK, now I gave you this one to start you out)

Clues to my thankfulness are found in these videos:
#2.  My WFW and Laura Story video (featured on Nov 2nd).
#3. John Michael Talbot video (featured on Nov.  3rd)
#4. PRAYER video (featured Nov. 4th)
#5. Matt Maher video
#6. Don Moen (didn't count for a guess) General GIVING THANKS
#12. Logan Smith, Jason Crabb
#13. Hillsong
#14. Kathryn Scott
#15. Brianna Haynes

TODAY'S featured above

... (and the list will go on and on throughout November...GIVING THANKS!)

When Nov. is over I will share the playlist where I have the collection of these songs over at my You Tube (YT) Channel and my responses here instead of just the video link.

I have chosen for my GT to be interactive so now it's your turn. After viewing the You Tube video today,

What do you think I'm thankful for today?

Just leave your guess in the comments, #... I think it's....

  1. After listening to the video I think you are thankful for God love.

  2. Thank you for sharing that, Peggy. <3 (That's a heart by the way.)

The page downloaded SO MUCH better. I love it. Having only two columns is better too. Besides the positive changes you've made, here are a couple more tips I received from a blogging friend about setting up our pages to load better.

    1) Although you don't have this I thought I'd throw it in for others--background music slows down and freezes some computers terribly and most readers prefer quiet.
    2) Any moving or animated html's such as graphics or slideshows will slow down the download A LOT. 3) The more gadgets you have on your sidebar (calendars, buttons, etc) the slower the download
    4) The more pages, the slower the download. I don't delete mine but I try to use a minimum of 4-5 at a time and save the others to shift from time to time.
    5) I don't see that you have this but for others that may, backgrounds that require an html code from another source such as let's say, cutestlittleblog or shabbyblogs, slow down the download because it is downloading two backgrounds instead of one. It is best to use a background as you have, directly from blogger or downloadable unto blogger.
    6) Less sidebar distractions is always best, especially if the blog is a devotional/writing/study blog like yours and RSD.

Anywho, hope this helps and I LOVE the changes. I'll send you a code that easily centers your header.
    Love and blessings!

  3. A beautiful WFW and video, Peggy ~ You and I are thankful for God's love. Love you ~

  4. Gorgeous pictures in that video...I think you are thankful for the Light of the world...I know I am....

  5. Giving thanks for you! Sorry for not coming by in such a long time. Hope all is well with you!

Happy sends her licks and wags to you and the whole crew!

  6. You know, pondering this one.

I'm not sure what you're thankful for exactly, but I'm going to throw something out there. We can be thankful for God's Sovereignty. Now, sometimes, when I am feeling particularly out of control, I might not like the idea that I am NOT in control. And yet, I am so thankful that someone - Someone - is. There is frustration in not being to control our lives, but tremendous comfort and peace in knowing that we are held by the One who does.

Loved the verse from Revelation. YES! One day, ALL things will be under the reign of Christ.

I am thankful that I serve the Lord of omnipotent authority.

Bless you for your visit and encouraging words! I thank you and I am humbly blessed by YOU and the time you spend with me... Peace, "Mazmagi" Peggy
