1. Why is obedience so necessary to freedom in Christ?

In the Book of Isaiah, God perfectly underscores the same 3 principles:

1. He has the right to rule.

2. He sets a high price for rebellion.

3. He pours out safety and blessing for obedience.

***A REBELLIOUS Child of God (these are covered in Chapter 28) from Isaiah 30:8-21 :

1) ...doesn't act like a child of God (v. 9)

2) ...isn't willing to listen to the Lord's instruction (v. 9) (Ps. 81:13-14)

3) ...prefers present illusions over truth (v.10-11)

4) ...relies on oppression (v.12)

In Chapter 29, we'll continue to examine the last 2 characteristics that a REBELLIOUS child

5) ...learns to depend on deceit (v.12)

6) ...runs from the real answers God provides (v.15-17)

HOW TO PRAY by R. A. Torrey (another wonderful resource available on line)Personalizing the Word into Prayer has been part of my learning since the late 80s, and many of these "prayers" from God's Word have been prayed so frequently from the manual above that they have become part of my memory, in part or at times in full. The more we pray and practice personalizing God's Word into a prayer the more familiar we become with God and His Word, and His Word cannot return void. Here's a song I chose to end this week of "DREAMS SURPASSED" from Beth Moore's book on "BREAKING FREE".  My dreams have included horses ever since I was a young child and read "Black Beauty". Of course, related to horses, would be the term "breaking". I purchased a young Arabian colt, just to experience "breaking" and training a horse.


For me, the beauty of horses is as I watch them run FREE (especially the Arabians, which raise their tails as they run)! Now this brings JOY to my heart and part of my dreams and sweet memories of my MN home. There are so many spiritual lessons to be learned through a horse, having been a owner of a few, I delighted and learned much through falls, kicks, and good trail rides. God is so good! He delights in us and His creation!

Do your know the significance of the 4 horses  in Revelations? They represent evil being being released upon the earth as Jesus predicted. These are definitely not delights: White Horse: False Christ and false religion; Red Horse: War and its devastating effects; Black Horse: Famines following War; Pale Horse: Pestilences and disease following after starvation.

Are you to a place in your life where OBEDIENCE LASTS and you have learned the value?

 I sure am, I want obedience that lasts

and find it easier each day just to obey

God's way!

A study of the Bible and of human history reveals that man's obedience to God's will has always brought man happiness, and disobedience has always brought unhappiness.

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.  John 14:15 ESV

“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? Luke 6:46 ESV

Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? Romans 6:16

* I may not be around much for awhile because evangelism training begins with INVASION -"Cosechadores Victoriosos" to prepare us for "Carnaval" (like Mardi Gras) which will begin next Thursday until late Tuesday, to reach ONE MORE for Jesus...  train to help us be ready!
So although I need to answer these questions about OBEDIENCE, I need to OBEY more... 
Pray for a Victorious Harvest Invasion and Souls to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus!
