"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

SUPER SUNDAY #12 ~ REST IN ME ~

Psalm 37:7 "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him."

~REST IN ME
I have come to this new place finally in my "40 Days Away 2 Pray" of entering the rest of God and I just discovered this video and song, new to me in every way... although I was looking for another one "Seek My Face"... I started a new phase of my prayer journey this week when I discovered that Campus Crusade for Christ International started "40 Days of Worship" and the first 10 days focus Seeking the Lord Together is a segment of a Pathway to Intimacy ~ look at the beautiful scene (I made into a WFW over at The Power of Your Love #8 in the links below) and the sound quotes they share:

"Rest, Rest. Rest in God's love. The only work you are required to do is to give your most intense attention to His still, small voice within." - Madame Jeanne Guyon

"Prayer is first and foremost listening to Jesus, who dwells in the very depths of your heart." –Henri Nouwen

Intimacy (Random House Dictionary): A close familiar, usually affectionate or loving personal relationship; a close association or detailed knowledge or deep understanding; the quality of being comfortable, warm or familiar.

May Jesus be found dwelling in the depths of your heart ~ listen ~ do you hear Him?

I had a different blog post for today but moved it forward after I read 3 different confirmations of REST on this day and God led me to this song and this secret place... heavenly... divine... entering God's rest finally
Journals of the Heart from Brenda Craig was one of these confirmations with "You are O' so beautiful to me" Word of the Day... and the complete Love Letter Enter My Rest ... also Valerie's Intelligent Expression again

Do you Crave the Secret Rest of God?
by Mary Lindow
reading this led me to this place and I'm so thankful to be enjoying the soaking journey
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

The blog posts above were kinda my special Advent Way of focusing on WOMEN in the Bible that influence me. This study is meant to introduce us to some of the women with great attributes in God's Word, leading up to the beautiful birth of Jesus Christ, which we celebrate this month. It's aMazing to me, that I can find so much in the lives of these women to which I can relate...

I hope to continue to focus on other WOMEN in the future. I also would like to share about the organizations that I have listed in my left hand sidebar for Women and Children.

What I expect to share more of is the importance in discovering as a woman what our value is and our WORTH to one another, to ourselves, but mostly as God sees us.

The Bible is full of WOMEN that God has placed before us as examples: good and not so good women, who lived their lives as best they could that we can learn from as well as WOMEN around us in REAL life given to help us along our journey.

I would like to continue to encourage others with the HOPE that God values us highly and has placed much worth in us. We each struggle, enjoy, endure, reflect, live, laugh, learn, grow, change, love, etc. throughout our lives and by sharing what we experience, what we feel, what we learn, we are able to deepen, strengthen and encourage one another to keep on keeping it on... pressing forward to BE all we can be.

In the beginning of 2011, I signed up to receive an email each week of a devotional from BIBLE GATEWAY on WOMEN of the BIBLE! I was trying to figure out how to share these and today, I discovered the LINK.

So every Monday, you too can READ about the WOMAN in your email or Tuesday online at their site.

The WOMEN shared mostly have come from this book by Herbert Lockyer.

PAGE ~ PRAYER

Photobucket

This was started as a TEAM BLOG with the intention that everyone would participate by praying for one another and lifting up others in prayer as we encounter needs or people.

In my other personal blog MISSIONS, right at the top, there's a button I have to direct us with a focus of PRAYING for COUNTRIES/areas in the world with OPERATION WORLD that shares a place each day and how to pray.

"Understanding Prayer in light of God's Kingdom" ~ Operation World

"There is No Doubt as to Call of God for us to Pray! (please click and read this) because...

Prayer is an act of faith
Prayer is an act of obedience
Prayer is an act of worship
Prayer is an act of warfare
Prayer is an act of sacrifice
Prayer is an act of labor
Prayer is an act of love

... but maybe you feel 'Why pray for the nations", I hardly know how to pray for myself or others closest to me... or in need as I encounter in blogosphere... or "How to start when the needs are so many". Under the tab PRAYER MOVEMENT, they share articles on just this...

Join people from every nation, praying for people in every nation, sign up now and pray that the glory of God would fill the earth! You will receive daily prayer reminders for a different country or need somewhere in the world. Through your prayers, you will change lives and nations. Beginning tomorrow, for the first 60 days, you will receive an email with a link back to the prayer content for a specific country..."

Please consider deepening your spiritual life this year with PRAYING, praying for others... yourself...

THE FOLLOWING IS TAKEN DIRECTLY FROM THE LIGHTHOUSE OF PRAYER SO YOU MIGHT UNDERSTAND HOW IT IS SUPPOSE TO WORK.

PERSONAL PRAYER REQUESTS and HOW THE LIGHTHOUSE WORKS

If this is your first visit, please stop by here and read a little bit about our ministry--how we are joining together to lift others to God in prayer. Maybe you come across someone that needs prayer while visiting blogs, instead of just saying, "Praying for you", bring their prayer need or your prayer here and let them know that you left a prayer at the Lighthouse of Prayer for them.

This is an interactive blog based on a comment and response system. PLEASE WRITE YOUR PRAYER, PRAYER REQUEST, PRAISE, THANKS in the place that would normally read comments after the most recent post but here it will read "PRAYERS LIFTED TO THE THRONE of GOD."

We'd love to see your prayer requests, praises to God, in this comment area and others will be supporting you through their prayers written as a response to your comment there. Be sure to come back and see the prayers lifting you & yours together to the LORD!

NEW ADDITION: Linky tool Prayer Requests

PLEASE LOOK FOR POST for weekly PETITIONS usually with this
and the title PRAYER REQUESTS for THIS WEEK, posted on Sunday and moved along to FRIDAY. THIS WEEK we have a PRAYER LINKY, where you link to any post in need of prayer or requesting prayer. Please show you care, andPRAY or share their posts.

"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."...(Matt 18:20)

Visit

Please help us keep the lighthouse as a beacon that draws people to
"pray for one another"
and
where you feel comfortable
in asking for prayer
or
just leaving a prayer from your heart.

"Prayer is heart to heart COMMUNION with Christ/God  as INDIVIDUALS and with GROUPS"

Prayer defined in the Bible is:
1. A lifting up our soul to God:  Ps 25:1; 143:8
2. A pouring out our heart to God:  Ps 62:8
3. A crying out to God:  Ps 86:3
4. Spiritual incense to God:  Rev 5:8
5. Coming before the throne of grace:  Ps 84:1-2; Heb 4:16
6. Prayer is a spiritual sacrifice & the fruit of our lips:  Heb 13:15
7. Drawing close to God in friendship, fellowship and trust:  James 4:8
from Prayer: A major Study outline

NOTE: I thought when I added standalone pages that I'd be able to add pages for each of the following but it does not work like that so I have to add on more here only.

There are other PRAYER blogs and places to leave or ask for prayer but here are weekly memes/carnivals available to pray with and for others...

available with TIFFANY @ Tea with Tiffany each Friday for the weekend

Photobucket
with ANGELA @ Free Spirit Haven
obviously on Fridays but you can email Angela directly with prayer requests

You may also reach Angela at free_pirit103@hotmail. com.
She hopes you will join Fearless Fridays and see the power of prayer in your life and others.
