Proverbs 30:5 (and 6) Trust in Me with all your heart and mind, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Me, and I will make your path straight.

Dear Jesus, Trusting You with all my heart has been my goal for years, but I seem to be making little progress. I suspect the culprit is my mind’s ravenous appetite for understanding. Behind this impetus to understand, there lies strong desire to feel in control of my life. Beloved, your desire to trust Me wholeheartedly is a worthy goal, and it is pleasing to Me. I am providing training through your life experiences. Allow Me to do this supernatural work in your heart. Recognize that many of the difficulties in your life are designed to help in this endeavor. I want you to trust Me with all your heart and all your mind. The Holy Spirit will help you think trusting thoughts, but He requires your cooperation. Instead of relying on your own understanding to help you feel in control, ask My Spirit to control your mind. Then, wait confidently to see results. This is the kind of path along a "Hometown Lake" (coming from the state of 10,000 lakes) that I would like to stroll (and I have) as I commit my way to the Lord. But our ways... our paths, our mazes... do not hardly ever look so 'picture perfect', nor do they seem to be always filled with such beauty or Light, yet even on the darkest days, the deepest storms, or in the midst of an ugly battle... we can have the Light of God's Word and Jesus shining before us to brighten or lighten our load if we REST, commit and TRUST in the LORDwith all our hearts
MY REST
Here is one of those hometown lakes  near my home in MN, that I use to enjoy my strolls or horseback rides especially in the fall like these photos ...

or even just a RESTFUL gaze from our hill in the pine trees further in the distance, overlooking our "Lake Louise" (which frankly is more like a larger pond with a precious island in the middle) accessible only in the winter.

So in 2012,Let's Keep HIS LIGHT shining

on us, in us and through us

reflecting our TRUST in Him
