"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

Image result for Max Lucado with Glory Days

Be sure to see my previous Mondays starting as far back as HERE
to catch all our
Scripture Memory Challenge(s)
1  2 3

Our VERSE for
is from
Joshua 21:43-45

..."So the Lord gave Israel all the land He had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there.   44 The Lord gave them rest on every side, just as He had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies withstood them; the Lord gave all their enemies into their hands. 45 Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled."...

"These are the Glory Days"
Max Lucado over at Faith Gateway

"Personalize that promise. Put your name in the blank.

"The Lord gave to __________ all the life He had sworn to give. And __________ took possession of it and dwelt in it. The Lord gave __________ rest all around and not an enemy stood. Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to __________. All came to pass."

This is God’s vision for your life. Imagine the thought. You at full throttle. You as you were intended. You as victor over the Jerichos and giants.

You and your Promised Land life.
It is yours for the taking. "~Max's Blog, "Your Promised Land Life"

This will be the last one on Memory but be sure to go back
review all the verses

MEMORY On Monday ~ 2

Max On Monday

that's for
Max Lucado
with his
"Glory Days
Scripture Memory Challenge

Image result for 2 Timothy 3:16 &17 Max Lucado's Scripture Memory Challenge

And Faith Gateway just sent me an email with a special deal on this SMC where you can receive a free ebook - "He Fights For You" also by Max Lucado; it's a companion ebook to "Glory Days". If you're interested in more info, click over to Faith Gateway. I'm already enjoying both books! And if you visit Faith Gateway, you can have at least one FREE and a good suggestion from Max on memorizing.

This is
Week 2's
Memory Verse
2 Timothy 3:16 &17

" All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

[image credit: Linkster Art Bible Verses]

"This verse is a great reminder that Scripture is powerful and useful
in every situation."
for Week 1's Memory Verse
you need to go back a week to here

let's try just the first part for a good start this week

"All Scripture is ____  _____ and is __________ for ...

Now onto learning and memorizing the list and the rest of

2 Timothy 3:16 & 17

Don't forget you need the reference of where it's found too.

It's kinda like a key to the treasure!

I was not planning on doing Memory Verses for each week in September, but it's a good way for us to start off the school year - learning God's Word together, putting God's Word in our heart for when we might need it. You never know. Thanks to Faith Gateway's reminder via this email with another bonus for me, I quickly assembled this "Memory Monday".

The BEST and most enjoyable way for me to enjoy memorizing is the following way!
{this one helps me with 2 combined in this 1}

"All Scripture"
Have a blessed and enjoyable week!

Max On Monday
with the
"Glory Days
Scripture Memory Challenge

{I am a couple weeks ahead with this so there is a special site coming
for this at Faith Gateway}

...Memorize scripture that will help you fight every stronghold you face. Take the four-week Glory Days Scripture Memory Challenge.

I announced this last Monday's "Max On Mon." and shared all the videos and links
This Week's #1 Memory Verse from
Joshua 1:9

[the video is linked and shares Max with the verse]
{although I shared a link to The Message last week, I am not memorizing that version}
Now without looking
try to fill in the blanks below
"Have I not ______________you? Be ____________and ______________.  Do not be   _____________; do not be _____________________for the Lord your God will ____
with you wherever you __________." (NIV)

However, I really like the
NASB version
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (NASB)

I love to memorize
Scripture through Song
and this one
has such a jivey beat so it's catchy
you might wanna try this one
maybe actions help you more
this one is sign language
Have fun! Enjoy God's Word!
This is a good verse to have ready to face and fight!
Now try it again ...
"Have I not ______________you? Be ____________and ______________.
Do not be   _____________; do not be _____________________for the Lord your God will ____ with you wherever you __________."  Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

Don't forget to include the Bible reference: Joshua 1:9 so you know where it's from.

7. Isaiah 53:6

definitely shows "sheep astray"

The title for this verse in the book is:

"God's Remedy for Man's Sin"

I wonder if this is how God sees us, wandering and wondering
along life's narrow way

Don Moen
This is how I memorized this one by singing with Don Moen and loving it!

"O Lord, Show us Your mercy and grace! ... Forgive our sins and heal our land. We long to live in Your Presence once again." Forgive us for going astray so often like these sheep. Forgive us for turning our own way or thinking we can do Your will our way. Thank You Jesus for being Our Shepherd and taking all our iniquity of sin and nailing it to the Cross!

"Anyone who has been raised in a family environment has his or her own share of family secrets. These little tidbits of reality are usually best kept within the small circle of family. For some, these family secrets are dark and hidden in the recesses of the mind. For most of us, these secrets are light, spontaneous, perhaps a bit embarrassing, and often downright funny."
"Did you know that those of us who have been born into God’s family also have a family secret? There is something that we know that those who are not part of God’s forever family do not know. Our family secret is found in our verse for this week, Romans 8:28. On numerous occasions along my own Christian pilgrimage, I have climbed up on top of this verse and found refuge and hope in times of confusion or need. There are four factors related to "the family secret" that every believer should know." ... O.S.Hillman (just part of this, click on the title below to continue reading at Bible Gateway)

The Scripture Verses
{thus far for 2014}

1. Genesis 1:1
3. Ephesians 2: 8
4. Psalm 23:1

The one from last week is one most of us know and so will

this week

as we're
Memorizing and Meditating

5. Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."
The title for this verse in the book is:

"The Family Secret"

we read that
the Family Secret is:
  1. Confidential
  2. Constructive
  3. Comprehensive
  4. Conditional
and might I add
Jesus Christ

And we each have been called

And we each have a God purpose for our life

we know that in all things

of those who love Him

you love Him

you will follow that purpose and call

* I am so glad that I found these available at Bible Gateway and you can sign up and get them emailed to you too. The problem is that it is only for 10 of the 52. Here I was all excited about sharing this and then they are just 10 samplings. You can go to Newsletters page and then Joshua Code is under the Exploring the Bible section.
