As Promised ...

[I'm a little late, but as I kinda promised
at the end of my last blog post]

TA-DA!

Lysa TerKeust's

newest release today

March 31, 2026

"Come Close to Jesus ..."

what to pray when you need

the Lord

to still your thoughts,

calm your heart

and guide your way

It was the small print after the title that caught my eye

and my heart, because that's exactly what will draw me to

COME CLOSE to JESUS

(actually closer)

On March 5th, Lysa shared on Proverbs 31 devotion and ended with this prayer (sample)

... "Dear Lord, thank You for being a safe place where I can bring my doubts, fears, hopes, and desires. I pray You would help still my mind and heart with the peace only You can provide so I can truly rest in Your presence. In Jesus’ Name, Amen."

AMEN! Amen!!!

I did not pre-order her book, but you know
that it's on my list,
just can't decide if I want a real book or an ebook.
Both have different benefits.

However, since I have plenty of studies right now & other books, I have time to decide.

So, I cannot truthfully review her book yet.
But, without a doubt,
I know that I will love this one
because every book I have from Lysa TerKeurst
speaks to my heart, just as if I had written it myself.

Every word and every experienced shared by her,
makes her genuine; and brings me "closer" to God/Jesus
and Lysa's one of my favorite authors.
She never fails to describe & share
something as if she's reading my mind
& living my life.
(or has access to my emails & notes)

This is the book description from Amazon:

"Jesus longs for you to come close. Not just for answers or blessings, but to experience His peace—because He is the only one who can calm us, strengthen us, and give us the perspective we need.

Join New York Times bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst as she shares powerful prayers, devotional teachings, and practical ways to draw near to the Lord.

Come Close to Jesus is filled with prewritten prayers to help still your thoughts, calm your heart, and find guidance in times of need—but most important, to help you spend time with the Savior who loves you more than you can imagine. Whether you struggle with getting distracted during your quiet time, finding the “right” words to say, or bringing your honest thoughts to the Lord, this book was created specifically to help you connect with Him on a deeper level.

Through these pages, Lysa shares her personal journey in growing her prayer life both through seeking the Lord diligently and walking through hard seasons with Him. In Come Close to Jesus, you’ll receive:

  • Lysa’s reflections and devotional teachings on prayer
  • Her own guided prayers for you to follow
  • Scriptural prayers for specific relationships and situations
  • Bible verses to teach and encourage you
  • “Prayer in Action” steps to help you pray and incorporate this wisdom into your daily life

Come Close to Jesus makes a beautiful gift for:

  • Friends and family who want to deepen their prayer lives
  • People experiencing times of struggle or anxiety
  • Fans and followers of Proverbs 31 Ministries and Lysa TerKeurst

God is not disappointed in you because your prayers haven’t been more consistent or elaborate. He simply wants you to place more and more of your life into His very capable hands. "

To me, this seems like the perfect book for "Holy Week" and every week
(almost enough for one a week - there are 50 devotions)

    2. Oh my, sis ... you made it to all of them! Never too late to share these words of blessings (since I started off with "a little late" but that was only that the post announcing Lysa's release of her new book & another one in the fall) well, by then I'll be choosing which one for that season.

I discovered yet Another GIFT you have!!! Enjoyed everyone of your video tributes!!!
