"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair."~from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

APOLOGY to READERS who followed a SEARCH to HERE & didn't find it

On July 18, 2017, I drafted almost 3000 blog posts that I had published since 2008 when I began blogging, rather than edit each one. So if you clicked here from somewhere else and ended up with the post unavailable or error, I am sorry but this is why. It'd be too much work for me to go back and fix them. There's an explanation on 7/19/17 as I'm still learning.

... for GOOD [2026 March Scripture Verses Journey]

My Scripture Journey
[follows in boxes below]

as

"give up"

WORRY

and learn to surrender any anxious part in me

to find *peace, trust, serenity, calmness, reassurance +

My hope in "Giving up for Lent" was to "Give Up for Good"

yet even 8 weeks might not do it,

since I have been at this now for decades

but I'll still keep on trying

<>

I guess from what I gathered in what I recently read that many thoughts or troubles in me stem from my propensity of high concerns and caring about so much, which many call "worries" as my last blog post indicated, I have and need to work on my anxious heart (anxiety, worry) so I'm giving it UP ... at least trying and working on it as the Lord works it out of me. After a lifetime, it might take a while. My only intent for this blog was my Scripture Journey boxes below. However, here's some of what I read (but not in either of those books above, nor my reading plan(s):

1 "Embracing *antonyms for worry allows us to cultivate a sense of tranquility and mental clarity, enabling us to navigate life's challenges with resilience and determination." ...

2 "Sometimes, our minds get concerned with concerns and anxieties that can weigh heavily on our well-being." ...

Need I say/write/share more ("no, but I will" ... lol) even
some parts that I don't want, but should
{"... but you already knew that I was going to, right?"}

3 "... These negative thoughts can cloud our judgment and hinder our ability to find peace and contentment." ...

4 "... However, there is a way to combat these "worries" by focusing on their *antonyms - words that represent the opposite of WORRY."

So I looked them up and they all are exactly what I need
and probably most of us need throughout our lives at some time
(just not all the time, or every day)

This is how I gather all my important information to save now.

I hope that it may be useful for you as well.

For 31 Days, I chose (and will continue to repeat) these

 as my focus and summary:

God is My Safe Place

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 NIV

Lord, when I feel afraid, help me run to You, my Refuge, my Strength, my place for safety and Your protection. Let Your Presence CALM my heart.

Cast My Cares 1 Peter 5:7 NIV

God's Peace Guards Me Philippians 4:7

God is With Me Isaiah 41:10

Let Go of My Worries
Matthew 6:34

God Strengthens the Weary Isaiah 40:31

{I was sure that my "weary" was linked to my "worry"}

Know that ...

I am not Alone
Deuteronomy 31:8

I should always ...

Take my Thoughts Captive
2 Corinthians 10:5

and Know ...

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear
1 John 4:18

God Cares about my Tears Psalm 56:8

God will Give me Rest
Matthew 11:28

God will Make me Strong
2 Corinthians 12:9

I'm made ...

Fearfully & Wonderfully

Because I know ...

God Goes Before me Joshua 1:9

God's Good Plan for me Jeremiah 29:11

Standing Strong Ephesians 6:10

Let God bring ...

Beauty out of my Brokenness
Psalm 34:18

Knowing that ...

God Fights for me Exodus 14:14

God Gives me Peaceful Sleep
Psalm 4:8

God is my Shield Psalm 3:3

Hoping that I can finally ...

Let Peace Rule Colossians 3:15

My Life Verse: (since the 90s)

Love is Stronger than Fear
2 Timothy 1:7

In another 40 day book, I was working on knowing this:

His Goodness Never Runs Out
Hebrews 13:5

and many more scriptures

So I will ...

Let God Comfort me
2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Ask for Help Isaiah 41:13

Believe and Trust
in God's Forgiveness & Healing
at work in me as

God Gives me His Hope Romans 15:13

Now most of these are not new to me (after these many years)

but reading is easier than doing/applying

SCRIPTURE

to your life practices

Hurts, Habits, Hang-ups

need

Healing

and

Recovery

from years of

Harm

<>

No better medicine than God's Word on repeat

and no better healing than in the name of

JESUS

(on repeat too)

and

repentance

(which means "change")

<>

Now that it's

HOLY WEEK

I will lay all that I can at the precious feet of

JESUS

{maybe I should have gotten that "red" book instead}

BUT

Tomorrow there's another different book being released

by one of my favorite authors,

which I might share

<>

AND

NOT ANY OF THESE WORDS

are my possible

One Word

for

2026
