STILL YOURS

17 Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,

18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.

19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
He enables me to go on the heights.

Song #12 on KUTLESS new CD "It is Well"

I'm Still Yours

If You washed away my vanity

If You took away my words

If all my world was swept away

Would You be enough for me?

Would my beating heart still sing?

If I lost it all

Would my hands stay lifted

To the God who gives and takes away

If You take it all

This life You've given

Still my heart will sing to You

When my life is not what I expected

The plans I made have failed

When there's nothing left to steal me away

Will You be enough for me?

Will my broken heart still sing?

If I lost it all

Would my hands stay lifted

To the God who gives

And takes away

If You take it all

This life You've given

Still my heart

Will sing to You

Even if You take it all away

You’ll never let me go

Take it all away

But I still know

That I'm Yours

I'm still Yours

Oh, I'm Yours

I'm still Yours

I'm still Yours

PRAYER:

Sovereign God and Almighty Father, be not only my strength, but the strength of those battling depression, grief and despair. Raise us up LORD on eagles' wings.

I ask your blessings especially and specifically for each friend in need at this time of difficulty and struggle. Through Jesus Name I ask this. I have been there and I know oh so well. Thank You for Your Divine mercy, strength, comfort and healing that lifts us into living victoriously even when we don't feel it. Amen

HIGH STEPPING IN HEAVENLY PLACES 5 & 6

I was catching up on Google Reader with this excellent on line Bible Study on Ephesians, thinking I was behind two weeks and wanted to share the most recent one. And I guess I'm not that far behind, because this was just posted on the 30th. So here's the 6th lesson and if you missed the 5th lesson, I'll add it below also. I guess I missed getting an "Extreme Makeover" and I'm sure I need it. I love the creative way that Jean is using TV Game show titles for each lesson.

Sshhhhhhhhhh! I've Got A Secret!!! Do you remember this show? (dating myself, I'm sure).

Also, if you get a chance...this is not a secret any longer...go over to Jean Stockdale's blog or
High Stepping in Heavenly Places and wish Jean a Happy Birthday. (If you go to HSiHP, you'll get to see the sweetest video singing "happy birthday")! Please go over anyways and join in by leaving comments with Jean and the sweet bunch: Ashley, Morgan, & Lauren.

I am so glad and thankful that I BELONG TO HIM and so I can read His Divine Revelation to "know the secret"...

Ive Got Secret Lesson 6

5 Ex. Makeover

PRAYER: I pray for this along with Paul that WE/I would be EMPOWERED, ENLIGHTENED, ENERGIZED and OVERFLOW as I operate in His Holy Spirit! TO BE ROOTED & GROUNDED
in Christ Jesus:

Dear Father, transcendent in power and fullness, I bow my knees before You, Father, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named. According to the riches of Your glory strengthen me with Your might in my innermost being, that Christ may dwell in my heart through the trust I have in him.Root me and ground me in love so that I may have the power to comprehend - along with all Your holy people - what is the breadth and length and height and depth of Your goodness. In the name of Jesus Christ I honor You and ask these blessings from Your hand. Amen.

YES! HALLELUJAH what a SAVIOR indeed! TO HIM BE THE GLORY!

"Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think..."

THANK YOU!!!

HOW COULD I EVER SAY THANK YOU? ~ Kathryn Scott

This song goes with my post below

THANK YOU LORD!
my thanks to You are so innumerable
and all I have are these words
to say how much
I LOVE YOU!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

HEAR MY PRAYER O GOD ... it's the 29th!

TODAY IS the 29TH and it's TIME TO PRAY with eLisa at Extravagant Grace plus you can be blessed this week by her over generous heart sharing DESIGN TIPS all week long.

Extravagant Grace

However, On each 9th, 19th and 29th, we set aside time to pray for a specific concern every month (or near that date).

On the 29th, our PRAYER focus is: praying for our friends, communities, and government officials

On the 19th, we PRAY for our church family, ministry and small group. CHURCH focus and I guess that could include missionaries, too... perhaps you have pledged to PRAY for some that have visited your church. Let me encourage you to lift a prayer for the missions and missionaries.

On the 9th, we focus our PRAYERS on our families and loved ones to know the Lord and honor Him in their lives.

Psalm 54:2
Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth.

Prayer on the 9's in 2009 is simply this: A commitment to pray on the 9th, 19th, and 29th of each month for the people the Lord has brought into our lives or placed on our hearts.

Would you like to learn more about Prayer on the 9's in 2009? Click here!

2 Chronicles 7:14

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

SO, LET'S PRAY FOR OUR COMMUNITIES and MINISTRIES as well as leaders in our GOVERNMENT!

Remember that tomorrow is another opportunity to PRAY with FEARLESS FRIDAYS at Angela's Free Spirit Haven blog with other bloggers who join her lifting the many needs around the blog world. We can never PRAY enough...HIS Word tells us to "pray without ceasing."

These special days set aside are meant to remind us of this and devote a bit of time to praying for our community and the ministries we are involved in, as well as our government and leaders today. I pray you will do so, too! We need one another. We need to pray for one another...what greater way is there for us to join our forces at Heaven's door and show our love for one another than in the whispers of our intentional prayers for each other's needs.
[ESPECIALLY those facing some heavy situations of trials, tribulations and testing]!

Please PRAY and also remember to give THANKS each prayer for all GOD is doing with you in THANKFUL THURSDAY being hosted in October by sweet Lynn here. I am so thankful for all these beautiful opportunities to come to the LORD in sweet prayer ~ a chance to communicate with Our Creator, Our Heavenly Father. May HE HEAR your prayers today. Be sure to give HIM a chance to SPEAK to you and LISTEN with your heart.

LET US PRAY!

I'm praying...
FOR YOU
if you'd like to leave a prayer request
for yourself,
do so in the comments,
I'll pray anyways
as I read your words as I do often.

FAITH

The purpose of Word filled Wednesday is to share God’s word (no famous quotes or other literature — only the beautiful word of our Father) through photo’s & a Bible verse!
Visit AMYDEANNE @ the160acrewoods.com

In case you missed it, in the beginning of October, I decided to combine my weekly MEMORY VERSE with WORD FILLED WEDNESDAY which I kinda had been doing anyway each week.

My verse for this last week of OCTOBER is from HEBREWS 11:1 on FAITH!

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

SO...

BY FAITH WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE WORLDS WERE PREPARED BY THE WORD OF GOD, so that WHAT IS SEEN was made from things that are not visible. Hebrews 11:3
<><

THANKS SO MUCH to ALL of you who have HELPED me out, however...
I NEED MORE of YOU!!!

FOR US, NOT AGAINST US

Each week I have been taking a verse from the Father's Love Letter to share and allow us to soak in His LOVEfrom HIS Letter to Me & YOU: the Bible. Today's comes from ROMANS 8:31...

What, then, shall we say in response to this?
If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31

(*FLL will represent Father's Love Letter). To see the letter in full you can scroll down and read or listen & watch a video of it. Or just go to the original site by clicking on FLL above in red. There are 52 verses in the FLL! Today we are looking at #42 from the FLL

So far I have covered these lines & the verses from FLL:
02. You may not know me, but I know everything about you
03. I know when you sit down and when you rise up
04. For I am familiar with all your ways
05. Even the very hairs on your head are numbered
06. For you were made in my image
07. In me you live and move and have your being, for you are my offspring
08. I knew you even before you were conceived
09. I chose you when I planned creation
10. You were not a mistake, for all your days are written in my book
11. I determined the exact time of your birth and where you would live
12. You are fearfully and wonderfully made
13. I knit you together in your mother's womb
14. And brought you forth on the day you were born
15. I have been misrepresented by those who don't know me
16. I am not distant and angry, but am the complete expression of love
17. And it is my desire to lavish my love on you
18. I offer you more than your earthly father ever could
19. For I am the perfect father
20. Every good gift that you receive comes from my hand
21. For I am your provider and I meet all your needs
22. My plan for your future has always been filled with hope
23. Because I love you with an everlasting love
24. My thoughts toward you are as countless as the sand on the seashore
25.
And I rejoice over you with singing
26. I will never stop doing good to you
27. For you are my treasured possession
28. I desire to establish you with all my heart and all my soul
29. And I want to show you great and marvelous things
30. If you seek me with all your heart, you will find me
31. Delight in me and I will give you the desires of your heart
32. For it is I who gave you those desires
33. I am able to do more for you than you could possibly imagine
34. For I am your greatest encourager
35.
I am also the Father who comforts you in all your troubles
36.
When you are brokenhearted, I am close to you
37. As a shepherd carries a lamb, I have carried you close to my heart
38. One day I will wipe away every tear from your eyes
39. I am your Father, and I love you even as I love my son, Jesus
40. For in Jesus, my love for you is revealed
41. He is the exact representation of my being
Immanuel
Our God is with us
And if God is with us
Who could stand against us
Our God is with us
Immanuel
[with two of my old time favorites: Michael Card & Steve Green]

For me, this statement is a bold declaration of how much the Father loves us: HE came to DEMONSTRATE that HE IS for me, not against me...unlike life and the circumstances in life, especially the difficult, trying ones. Those situations are what I referred to in my BLOG title...as MAZES and many times MESSES!
I know that I am not alone in this battle.
I do realize that "life is (NOT)...
"...a bowl of cherries..." or as Rodney Dangerfield said, ..."just a bowl of pits."
or "...like a bed of roses, you have to watch out for..." well, I know you get my point. As I was searching for how this verse actual goes, I came upon this one:
"Life is just a mirror, and what you see out there, you must first see inside of you." Wally 'Famous' Amos

I guess this one comes closer to the truth. Along with "life is what you make it" or "...life is just a stage and we are all merely the actors..." From each of these perspectives, life could be filled with hope or very hopeless.

My little tangent of "life quotations" was only to help drive home this point about
life: that Our Heavenly Father has a plan and a purpose for each one of us, there is no greater life than the one that HE offers us: an eternal life with Him. Yet even here, on this earth, HE intends for us to make the best of our lives and live out our lives with purpose and overcome the daily struggles.

Life is full of disappointments and discouragements. At times, we all have felt like the world is against us. We become overwhelmed by ALL that's thrown at us and wonder often "why?" or "how long?" or "how much more?" and even "when will this end?"... all of these thoughts lead to despair and even depression, if we are not aware that we are headed down a path of disillusion and negativity. The more we struggle, the onslaught envelops us and builds momentum. It definitely can make us feel like we are swimming upstream against the current, constantly fighting the power of it, as it seems to be pushing us downstream despite our efforts. It can be a frustrating experience or send us into a tailspin of many battles. We are going one way and everyone else seems to be going another direction. [Much of what I am saying was shared in the FLL devotional only better].

In the world in which we live, reality will show us many people and obstacles that are in direct opposition to us, especially in these days. God's Word encourages us to not conform. In fact, if we do NOT take Romans 8:31 to heart, we will be lonely, frustrated, discouraged, overwhelmed, disillusioned, disheartened, and on & on our life meanders aimlessly, sometimes even into an abyss of depression. Yet with this WORD, we can grasp that HE is FOR US and find strength in HIM that HE CAME to demonstrate to us, to ENcourage us not DIScourage us. Since God is for us, who can be against us? Not even when we find ourselves being persecuted, as many in other countries are being for their faith in Christ, can we say that GOD is not for us, cheering us on. Not only is HE on our side, but in our corner constantly wanting the BEST for us and desiring us to find the VICTORY He has given us and the power to attain ALL by overcoming the negative with the positive that He instills in us. He has given us the power to overcome.

"If we can grasp the truth of our Father’s heart towards us, it will not matter who is opposing us or what is standing in our way! For we will be confident that our Heavenly Daddy is the biggest, strongest, most loving person in the universe and has declared to the heavens that He is for us! What will you say in response to this declaration?" ~ FLL

However, with all this in mind, is there someone you can ENcourage today to PRESS on and move forward in their walk in Christ?

If you can't think of anyone, may I suggest that you PRAY that God would reveal someone to you or you would take the time to seek more information about the Persecuted Church in Persecuted Countries. You can click there or here to learn the latest on the suffering and persecution. It will make your daily struggles pale in the light of theirs. I have found that when I am facing any downstream battle that if I start looking UP and at helping others, giving of myself, and drawing closer to Jesus by keeping my focus on Jesus, and His Word, things CHANGE for the better. You can be filled with power to overcome. You are not alone.

WILL YOU MAKE THE TIME TO CHANGE ONE LIFE TO KNOW THAT THE FATHER IS FOR US and NOT AGAINST US?

Even by praying, taking the time to read about and sign the petition FREE TO BELIEVE (you can read more about the campaign here).

Let us pray for the persecuted church,
for their oppressors,
for nations that foster persecution,
and for those who ignore it.

Let us read the Holy Scriptures,
finding there the stories and witness of hope
borne by those who lived through ordeals to the glory of God,
and hear the promises of the gospel
for all who are persecuted for righteousness' sake.

In our prayer for persecuted Christians,
let us not narrow our compassion for all who suffer,
whatever their profession or creed;
let no hatred or prejudice enter our hearts for anyone.

Called by the Holy Spirit to unity with the persecuted,
let us enter into their suffering,
repenting of our ignorance,
refusing to be silent,
ready to reach out to them in their isolation.

BEAUTY of YOUR PEACE

[International Day of Peace was September 21st not today]

However, I want to share Christ's Peace and
MORE songs from TIM HUGHES from my choice this past weekend for TSMSS

~ BEAUTY of YOUR PEACE ~

~ BE MY EVERYTHING ~

GOD of JUSTICE

Since this is my THEME for my daily Bible Readings for the month of October:

Called to be Free to Work for Peace and Justice

And this last week I am reading from MICAH, I just thought this music would set the tone & mood.
Usually I share this on THIRSTY THURSDAY
but I am not able to continue with writing these weekly so I wanted to share today.

TIM HUGHES also does BEAUTIFUL ONE
which is how my soul sings today:

Wonderful, so wonderful
Is Your unfailing love
Your cross has spoken mercy over me
No eye has seen, no ear has heard
No heart could fully know
How glorious, how beautiful you are!

Beautiful One I love You
Beautiful One I adore
Beautiful One my soul must sing

Powerful, so powerful
Your glory fills the skies
Your mighty works displayed for all to see
The beauty of Your majesty
Awakes my heart to sing
How marvellous, how wonderful You are

You opened my eyes to Your wonders anew
You captured my heart with this love
Because nothing on earth is as beautiful as You

My soul, my soul must sing
My soul, my soul must sing
My soul, my soul must sing
Beautiful One

TEARS FALL

I was hoping to share "Tears Fall" by the Barlow Girls on their new "Love & War" CD but I could not find more than the lyrics except if you go to their website, where I heard it first & loved it. Instead I encountered this one by Tim Hughes and almost enjoy it as much...but ya' gotta go listen to Barlow Girls sing "Tears Fall". [Music sampler here or click on CD title]

If today or this past week, month or season, you have found yourself, in a place of much pain, sorrow, difficulty, grief, sadness ... endless list, I pray that you come to a better place of Jesus' grace and realize how He's right there with you through it all, catching each tear in His heart and changing them into "pearls" of gladness, joy, comfort, peace, rest and healing, if you let Him! Sing

I've had questions, without answers
I've known sorrow, i have known pain
but there's one thing, that i'll cling to
You are faithful, Jesus You're true

when hope is lost, i'll call You saviour
when pain surrounds, i'll call You healer
when silence falls, You'll be the song within my heart

in the lone hour, of my sorrow
through the darkest night of my soul
You surround me, and sustain me
my defender, forever more

when hope is lost, i'll call You saviour
when pain surrounds, i'll call You healer
when silence falls, You'll be the song within my heart

I will praise You, i will praise You
when the tears fall, still i will sing to You
i will praise You, Jesus praise You
Through the suffering still i will sing

when hope is lost, i'll call You saviour
when pain surrounds, i'll call You healer
when silence falls, You'll be the song within my heart

I've had questions, without answers
I've known sorrow, i have known pain
but there's one thing, that i'll cling to
You are faithful, Jesus You're true

when hope is lost, i'll call You saviour
when pain surrounds, i'll call You healer
when silence falls, You'll be the song within my heart

I will praise You, i will praise You
when the tears fall, still i will sing to You
i will praise You, Jesus praise You
Through the suffereing still i will sing (2Xs)

when hope is lost, i'll call You saviour
when pain surrounds, i'll call You healer
when silence falls, You'll be the song within my heart

HIGH STEPPING IN HEAVENLY PLACES

HERE'S LESSON 4 with JEAN STOCKDALE @ High Stepping in Heavenly Places. Great study on EPHESIANS...why not join in? (this is like a week behind - it's from 10-15). Clue to enlarge writing so you can read click on the + and scroll on the right or go to the actual one here. What a blessing Jean, Ashley, Morgan and Lauren are as they share while they learn to High Step!!!4 Truth or Consequences

On Thursdays I have been sharing on my Bible readings but decided that this one along with Beth Moore's "Wednesdays with Beth" on Life Today would further deter me from doing THIRSTY THURSDAY! However I will try to at least continue once a month to post on the THEME and the readings. Beth Moore's topic is "Thriving in a Season of Chastising"! Of course, everyone knows that she's GREAT! On Wednesday, Beth did Part IV in this series. When she began this series on Sept. 30th , Beth spoke on the difference between chastisement and consequence.

As this Ephesian's study above starts out with an "either/or" situation and that we suffer consequences. I just want to share a little of what Beth shared because whether we are believers or non-believers there are consequences for our behaviors. Sometimes we cause our own suffering (painful consequences). Our problems are a direct result of our own pride, poor financial decisions or any decision made poorly and hastily, despite a warning deep within,
( as believers that would be the Holy Spirit). It catches up with us in consequences and loving Father chastisement. Beth's focus is in Hebrews 12: 5-13.

Beth states that consequences are the natural order of God as Chief Executive, the "BOSS".
The natural consequence of "reaping" what we sow. Whereas, chastisement is the supernatural order of God the Father. As we allow God, our Father to take over our consequences, they become part of the teaching process...or to go with my train of thought, "pruning" (as I've written that I'm deeply in that process of being molded by Our Father's loving hand).

Beth referred to Psalm 103:10-13. If a consequence will teach us, God will allow it, especially when we need to repent and we're not repenting. We have to accept our own responsibility in the matter. Beth says "we have to own it".

The reason that I'm adding this is because of the "pruning". I have a real example (well, actually my whole life has many). What I want to share is not about me, but about a tree I planted in my front yard, smaller than me at first and now much taller but drying out. Why? I thought it might have been the little insects that doubled the leaves over as they multiplied. I don't think so. Then I thought the strong winds, tossing and turning and bending its branches. Not the problem. But the leaves sure did fall as they dried up. So I assumed just like our weather back home, that it's fall and so that's what happens, even though up until now, it never had...I thought maybe that was a sign of it aging and maturing, now it will shed its leaves...but the others like it around the park and neighborhood are not drying up or dropping their leaves. Someone who recently painted my outside "graffiti" wall put calk paint on the base so I pondered if this could be why.
I sought many reasons than realized that I must own up to my own responsibility and shortcomings when I thought I was helping.

Before the leaves began to dry and fall, I decided that I needed to "prune" this tree and set it free. You see it had these little vine-like branches massing together like webs between the branches and getting caught up with leaves and stuff. So I took out my clippers and started clipping those brown twigs. It loosened up the branches and it looked like there was enough room for it to breathe freely. The branches were no longer woven together. I had cut them apart. And now the consequence; my tree is drying up, loosing its leaves, making a mess, and perhaps dying ( I sure hope not). I wanted this tree for shade for my dogs and now... just the leaves of a change of seasons. A "pruning" that the poor tree never asked for, done by me. I really thought I was helping the tree to be free and flourish. Here my good intent turned my growing tree into a shriveling, life threatened, leaf loosing, dried up bunch of branches.

Can you see the spiritual implications in this "pruning" lesson?

Many times, specialists in tree branch cutting would go by and ask if I wanted my tree trimmed (here in Mexico, they cut the trees into shapes and I never understood why).
I would always reply, "no, thank you, I want the tree to grow naturally". So much for my tree growing naturally. Now I just have to wait and pray for new growth. That the damage I did, will be restored and my tree will return to its flourishing state. I really need that shade. I'm "owning" my error but not sure if there will be any growth happening in the future. At least, now I know not to cut the unknown vine-like branches. They look like such good twigs for bird's nest. I had hopes that the birds would believe me and carry them away, being thankful for the Father's provision with a little help from me. Guess that's my "high stepping" for today.

NOW you can see why I wrote THIRSTY THURSDAY... God in the works, after all, I'm one of His works in progress. This past week's Bible Reading from "Called to be Free to Work for Peace and Justice" was in JEREMIAH and ISAIAH and Heartlight has been sharing Psalm 34 in Today's Verse. Let us continue to THIRST for MORE of GOD & less of us.

MY ROCK

JESUS...

JESUS IS MY ROCK!

My MEMORY VERSE for this week:

Psalm 19:14

May the WORDS of my mouth and the meditation of the heart
be pleasing in Your sight,
O LORD, my ROCK and my REDEEMER

The name Rock refers to the fact that God is the foundation of everything. He alone is immovable and unbreakable. TO LEARN MORE about GOD, as our ROCK, you can go here Names of God (Lesson 4)

"God does so much for us. He is the Strength and Promise that undergirds our lives. He is the One who has saved us from sin and death. Our worship comes from our gratitude for what he has done, recognition of who he is, and anticipation of what he is going to do. But worship can never be compartmentalized to just fit into church places or quiet times. Worship involves every aspect of life. That is why it is so important for us to tune the words of our mouths and the motives of our hearts to God's will and work. Then private worship, whether alone in quiet or in a group with Christians, becomes the tuning time for our hearts and lives so that our public worship, our lives lived out in the world, will play the song of God to a world who has not yet heard his tune."

Prayer:
O Holy and Almighty God, I want this day to be a day of worship and honor to you. May my life praise you: not just in thought, not just in words, but also in action. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

RADIANCE OF GOD'S GLORY

Each week I have been taking a verse from the Father's Love Letter to share and allow us to soak in His LOVE from HIS Letter to Me & YOU: the Bible. The letter to the HEBREWS, chapter 1, verse 3:

The Son is the radiance of God's glory
and the exact representation of His being,
sustaining all things by His powerful word.
(NIV)

(*FLL will represent Father's Love Letter). To see the letter in full you can scroll down and read or listen & watch a video of it. Or just go to the original site by clicking on FLL above in red. There are 52 verses in the FLL! Today we are looking at #41

So far I have covered these lines & the verses from FLL:
01. My Child...

THIS WEEK:

"If we want to know what God the Father is like, all we have to do is look at Jesus Christ, for He is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being. In John chapter 14 Jesus declared, "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father". His only interest was to do His Father's will and to say what His Father asked Him to say.

When Jesus healed the sick, He was demonstrating His Father's desire for us to be whole.

When Jesus fed the poor, it was His Father's hand of provision that reached out to the hungry.

When Jesus forgave the prostitute, it was His Father's heart that was moved with compassion.

When Jesus picked up the little children in His arms to bless them, it was the love of His Father embracing these little ones.

Even when Jesus washed the disciples feet, He was portraying His Father's humility in the lowliest display of servant hood.

When Jesus walked this earth, there were many people who had a distorted image of the true nature of God.

It is no different today than it was two thousand years ago. Many still suffer from false beliefs about God's character. Jesus came to dispel those false beliefs and truly reveal His Father's heart. If you really want to know what your Heavenly Father is really like, just look into the eyes of Jesus and let His love melt away all your misconceptions."

As I prepared to celebrate my 55th birthday (ohhh my that's alot of years) and my 500th post (oh my, my...that's alot of words), I knew that my CELEBRATION was nothing without looking at Jesus...and thus my Challenge for 500 Bible Verses, with the 500 Amazing Attributes of God...for my desire was/IS to align my life and thus this blog with reflecting on how much JESUS means to me!

"If you have seen me, you have seen the Father"... this verse is so real and so important to me and I LOVE how the FLL devotional(above ***) walks us through the ways JESUS was showing us the Father and His love as He healed the sick, as
He fed the poor, as He forgave the prostitute (and you & I), as He delighted in spending quality time with the children, picking them up in His arms to bless them, as He washed the disciples feet...as Jesus walked this earth in human form, the Father's radiance of glory was manifested daily in Him! AWESOME and AMAZING...but what's important here is that if we have been so blessed to know Him ... to have seen Him and His ways ... and read His love letter and WORD to us than WE should also be a reflection of His image to others so that they may see Him, come to Him, to know Him, to receive His Love, mercy & forgiveness, available to ANYONE who believes in Him and surrenders the ways of living for self, living in this world ... for the acceptance of living FOR HIM and through HIM, or HIM living through us TO OTHERS.

This happens when we take up the Cross and do the same as HE does: healing the sick, feeding the poor, forgiving whomever, delighting in spending quality time with the children, picking them up in OUR arms to bless them, washing the the feet of others who are weary, worn and traveled ... just as Jesus as we walk through this earth ...IT CANNOT BE AIMLESSLY but with a great PURPOSE. Self-less ACTS instead of SELFISH ones; putting others first like the poor, the children, the elderly, the less fortunate, the forgotten, the undesirables. Sometimes it's harder than it looks. Sometimes it's so unpleasant. Sometimes our spirits are awakened to a new opportunity for growth in giving to others.

A very special friend of mine just wrote me this past week about something her church is planning on doing. As I read and listened through the virtual experience, I could not help but think... "this is what JESUS would have us to BE and DO for
the poor, the children..." and there are so many opportunities worldwide crying out to US, the church TO BE JESUS not just preach Jesus but in WORD & DEED,
we must BE Jesus...please take the time to visit the WORLD VISION EXPERIENCE

I want to let you know about the World Vision Experience: AIDS, a free exhibit that will open your eyes to the AIDS crisis. WHAT DOES KNOWING JESUS or BELIEVING IN JESUS & HIS WORD MEAN TO YOU?

IF WE DO NOTHING,
IF WE STAY IN OUR COMFORT ZONE,
IF WE HAVE NO COMPASSION,
IF WE SAY WE KNOW HIM
but
DO NOT ACT
we are but
"a loud clanging cymbal"

WE CAN BE
HIS REPRESENTATION

THE EXACT REPRESENTATION of HIS BEING
JESUS.

Do we really know Him?
or
DOES HE DWELL WITHIN US or AMONG US?

How will we answer for this?
LET US BE THE RADIANCE of GOD'S GLORY, ALIVE IN US, GIVING LIFE to OTHERS!

JESUS CAME TO REVEAL THE FATHER TO US!
Once more, I must share the FLL devotional, brief and special, just as it is.

His desire was that the love the Father had for him would be in us too. His passion was that we would know and experience his Father's heart just as he had known and experienced this amazing love from the very beginning. What a privilege to be caught up in this incredible love affair within the Godhead!

This gift of relationship with God far exceeds anything that we could ever do to possibly deserve such an honor, but it is offered to us free of charge through Jesus. What an awesome Savior we have, that He would be willing to leave the intimacy and glory of His Father's presence, to make the Father known to us. Through the cross, Jesus has made the way for us to be joint-heirs with Him as sons and daughters to His Father.

We all have an invitation, one child at a time, to come to the Father through Jesus Christ and to be partakers of His incredible love. Jesus has come to make his Father known to us, and He promises to continue to make His Father known in order that His Father's love might be in us and that He too might live in us.

***

What an overwhelming Truth and Amazing Love! The Father wants the same relationship with us that He has with Jesus. Incredible! Jesus and the Father are one since the very beginning. You and I also have been given a New Beginning in Jesus Christ. He has given us the opportunity to partake in the love of Jesus Christ and the promises in His Word. His Father's love may be in us and He too might live in us and through us as vessels of His aMazing love to others. It is by faith we receive the love through our Lord Jesus Christ so that we can call His Father...OUR FATHER! What a privilege to call Him "DAD"... and with all respect "FATHER".

Jesus reveals God to us. One of the reasons He does this is so that we can know who God is and what is important to Him. Clearly, one of the most important things on Jesus' heart in this prayer is that we share His love for us with each other. In this way, Jesus comes to life in us.

If we say we know the Father or Jesus yet fail to act as Jesus would have us ACT than we are hardly able to say we love as though we know Him and much less how He requires us to BE! If you look at ALL the character traits of GOD, shown to us in His Word (as I shared in my 500 Amazing Attributes), you will notice many positive characteristic traits that show His passion & compassion.

You and I are to reveal Jesus and His love to others as He has revealed the Father's Love to us.

I love this article by John Piper: "To YOU who believe, Christ is precious."

The mark of a child of God is not perfection but hunger for Christ. If we have tasted the kindness of the Lord, we will desire Him (1 Peter 2:2,3). The reason for this is that a child has the nature of its father. We are partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4) if we are born of God and have his seed abiding in us (1 John 3:9). We are, as it were, chips off the Old Block. For 1 Peter 2:4 says Christ is precious to God, and 1 Peter 2:7 says therefore he is precious to believers. So I insisted that “belief” which saves is not just agreeing that the Bible is true. Belief which saves signifies a new nature which cherishes what God cherishes.

Now a text that I did not refer to on Sunday is John 17:26. What a promise this is! Jesus, you know, is praying for his disciples and all who would believe on him through their word (John 17:20). He concludes his prayer with the highest petition of all: “Father, I have made known to them your name and I will make it known, that the love with which you loved me might be in them and I in them.”

Look carefully. Jesus’ request to God is that God’s love for the Son would be in us. Have you ever thought that Jesus wants you to love him not merely with your love but with the love which God the Father has for him? How is this possible? It is possible because of the new birth. Becoming a Christian means getting a new nature, which is given by God. Practically speaking this means that God comes into our lives by the Holy Spirit and begins to give us new affections, new emotions, namely the emotions of God. It is the presence of God the Spirit in our lives that causes us to love Jesus with the love of God the Father. I believe the Holy Spirit is the love of God personified. To be ruled by the Spirit is to be ruled by a divine love for Jesus. Jesus is simply praying that we may be filled with the Spirit who is the personification of the love the Father has for the Son. Thus we will be filled with the very love with which the Father loves the Son.

And what a love that is! There is no greater love in all the universe than the love flowing between the Father and the Son in the holy Trinity. No love is more powerful, more intense, more continuous, more pure, more full of delight in the beloved, than the love God the Father has for the Son. It is an energy of joy that makes atom bombs look like firecrackers. O how the Father delights in the Son! O how precious the Son is to the Father! “This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased,” God said at Jesus’ baptism. “This is my beloved Son, listen to him,” God said at the transfiguration.

How then ought we to love Jesus! If you are born of God, see Jesus with the eyes of God. “To you who believe He is precious.”

Adoring Him,

Pastor John

OH, HOW I LOVE JESUS! MAY I HAVE THE EYES OF JESUS CHRIST FOR OTHERS! MAY I HUNGER FOR MORE OF CHRIST AND MORE OF JESUS CHRIST IN ME! HE IS SO PRECIOUS TO ME SO MY LOVE FOR OTHERS SHOULD REFLECT THIS LOVE! I TREASURE JESUS!

"Treasuring Christ is first--absolutely first--something God the Father does in His heart. Then it is something the Holy Spirit pours out in our heart so that treasuring Christ is what our hearts do.

This YouTube video just has the CD cover so my suggestion is to start the song and follow along...with the words below...

It's Your Love
by Hillsong Live...released August 2009
Faith + Hope + Love

VERSE 1:
Upon the hill of Calvary
He came from heaven's throne
Our fallenness and mercy meet
Where blood and water flow

VERSE 2:
What grace divine
What selflessness
That Christ would bear the weight
Our proof is scarred
On hands that bled
That we were worth every nail

CHORUS:
All the praise and glory to God
We sing hallelujah
Sing hallelujah
For the King has carried the cross
He is risen from the grave

VERSE 3:
Beyond the tomb to holy skies
He rose in victory
And bridged for us
The great divide
His life is our liberty

BRIDGE:
Your love
It's Your love that has saved me
Your blood
It's Your blood
It's Your blood that has claimed me
We sing hallelujah
All the earth cry out hallelujah
With the angels sing hallelujah
Jesus Christ is King

TAG:
We give everything
To You alone

October is Clergy Appreciation Month, and this Sunday (Oct. 11) is Clergy Sunday. Let's not forget to show our appreciation and pray for them.

Prayercentral is inviting all Christian to join in daily prayer for their Pastor and the Pastors in their neighborhood throughout the month of Oct.

From Prayer Central's prayer widget!!!

Scripture: The priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and God heard them, for their prayer reached heaven, his holy dwelling-place. -2 Chronicles 30:27

Prayer: God, You are the One who put 100 million galaxies in the universe, and 100 million stars in each one. And You are the God who knows all those stars by name. There is no one like You.

Father, you have given us, Your children, the power to bless others, so I stand in that privilege right now, and I bless each Pastor .... and their spouse today. May they be blessed when they rise up and be blessed when they lie down, as they go out and as they come in, may Your blessings surround them today.

May they walk in the light of Your goodness today, and when the day is done, may they marvel at what a blessed day it has been. In Jesus name, amen.

Since I can't BE with all the wonderful pastors, I sending this prayer from Prayercentral to the Heavenly throne, thinking & remembering each one and how they bless me in the Name of the Lord, serve Him, love Him and pass that on to me. Would you please print this out and hand it to the pastors this Sunday?

Pastor, as a servant of the Lord Jesus, I extend a blessing to you today in His name. I bless you today in the power of Christ's resurrection, with the courage of His dying, and the strength of His rising. With the revelation of the Holy Spirit released to you through His ascending, and the grace imparted to you through His atonement.

May you stand today in the firm knowledge of His everlasting love for you, and experience in the depths of your soul the never-ending peace He has purchased for you. May you hear clearly what He speaks to You today, and may His words stir an overcoming faith in your heart.

May you walk in the center of the path He lays before you without fear, and with the conviction to move mountains that stand in your way. May you inspire those around you to seek out the God you serve, and find the rest you have found in His arms.

May you be blessed as you rise up and as you lie down. May your day be filled with the sweetness of serving others, and your night bring dreams and revelation of the God who loves you.

I bless you today with all that Christ has purchased for you. With forgiveness of sins, and freedom from guilt, with the Sabbath rest that frees you from religion. With the truth He revealed to set you free, and the faith he imparts to empower your life, and ministry

I bless you today in the resurrection power of Christ, with the courage of His dying, and strength of His rising. May you walk unafraid, rise above the struggles of this earthly life, and move in power from your position in the heavenlies where you are seated with Him. And may His name be glorified today through you life, and the Body
of Christ be blessed through your service.

HE'S MY SON

I'm down on my knees again tonight
I'm hoping this prayer will turn out right
See there is a boy that needs Your help
I've done all that I can do myself
His mother is tired
I'm sure You can understand
Each night as he sleeps
She goes in to hold his hand
And she tries not to cry
As the tears fill her eyes

CHORUS:
Can You hear me?
Am I getting through tonight?
Can You see him?
Can You make him feel all right?
If You can hear me
Let me take his place somehow
See, he's not just anyone
He's my son

Sometimes late at night I watch him sleep
I dream of the boy he'd like to be
I try to be strong and see him through
But God who he needs right now is You
Let him grow old
Live life without this fear
What would I be
Living without him here
He's so tired and he's scared
Let him know that You're there

CHORUS

Can You hear me?
Can You see him?
Please don't leave him
He's my son

CELEBRATING 500 & 55!

Born this blessed morn' at 3:10 a.m., a mere 55 yrs. ago

A year ago today this was posted. I just wanted to start my birthday off with my favorite author, Max Lucado and my favorite daily desire: prayer. But I have much more to come. I've been working and thinking about this day for some time now. Not only because I've posted
500 BLOG posts since April 2008, but because it's a significant birthday over 50 but under 60!

I thought I tried to come up with something really creative & unique for my 500th post!

This is neither...

...but I did think long and hard plus I "googled" to see what others might have done. Of course, a GREAT GIVEAWAY would be such a JOY for all but rather difficult for me from Mexico - I don't even trust mail for important personal matters, I certainly wouldn't dream of sending "giveaways" from here. So I explored alternatives and even thought of some human causes that perhaps we could unite and bless. Nothing seemed feasible. Then I began to think of are there any stories of "500" in the Bible... and I thought of the wonderful parable of "Fish & Loaves" and then realized it was 10 times that...Jesus fed 5,000, not a few 500 with 2 fish and 5 loaves with leftovers. So that didn't work either.

You'll never believe what popped into my mind next ... think 500 ...

Yep...the one and only..Dr. Seuss tale of "The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins". I'm not too sure of the full story but I think I remember the major gist of it. Do you remember this?

(...so here's my meager attempt at a rewrite) of Dr. Seuss "The 500 Hats of Peggy 'LePew' "

In the beginning, Peggy didn't have 500 hats. She had only one hat. It was an old one that had belonged to her grandmother and her grandmother's mother from England. It was probably the oldest and the plainest hat in the whole Kingdom of God. But Peggy liked it... especially because it had a feather that always pointed straight up in the air (reminding her to always look to God for her answers).

The Kingdom of God was temporarily being ruled by earthly kings ... given authority by God, in His absence. The current King was Pepe...yes, you got it, King Pepe Le Pew ... a distant relative of Peggy...very, very distant and she hoped it stayed that way.

His palace stood high on the top of a mountain, so he could look out, from his balcony over all the houses and fields that belonged to his kingdom (temporarily), over the houses of all his subjects - first, over the spires of the noblemen's castles, across the broad roofs of the rich men's mansions, then over the little houses of the townsfolk, to the huts of the farmers far off in the fields. It was indeed a mighty view and it made King Pepe feel mighty important!

But Peggy had that same view only in reverse. She was able to gaze up from her simple home near the field in the valley to the mountain top and imagine what it must be like to live there.Yet much was required of her each day, to just keep up the small place she treasured & the land that surrounded her, with a beautiful view of a small breathtaking lake that she loved to view also. She was torn between the view of the reflecting lake and the towering mountaintop. Both were spectacular views from where she lived and enjoyed her simple life.

Then one day, the King decided that he needed to get a closer look at his kingdom and his subjects. So he arranged for a procession to journey through his kingdom and get to know the people who lived below. The fanfare was grand! All his subjects would line up for miles, to catch a glimpse of their king. They would bow or curtsy and of course, take off their hats in honor of the king.

As King Pepe passed through the highways and the byways, many came to see him. Each one removed their hats as they greeted him. Then he approached the simple home of Peggy, who ran out to greet him as well. She waved and jumped then thought about her hat, so she took it off. The King glanced her way. Then he shouted, "Halt"... and he commanded that the procession back up to be directly in front of Peggy. The King spoke to her firmly, "Do you not take off your hat for the King?" "Why of course, your highness...I have removed my hat. " Peggy replied.

King Pepe removed his glasses and cleaned them and looked again. "Clearly, ma'am I see a hat upon your head, will you please take it off." So, obediently, Peggy reached up and indeed she felt a hat and she quickly took it off. And to the king's surprise and hers, there still was a hat upon her head. So she took it off again and again. And each time she took off a hat, another hat would appear. Not just once or twice, but continually. King Pepe was quite insistent and decided that Peggy must be taken into custody for her disobedience and rebellion and such disrespect.
It was out of her control. Already the king's accountant had totaled well over 100 hats...and it continued.

The King demanded that Peggy be incarcerated in the highest tower until her hat was removed.
Though this saddened Peggy greatly and she was trying her best to abide by removing her hat... each and every hat, each time that she took one off, another hat appeared in its place.

200, 201, 202, 203, 204...350...450...460...470...480...hat after hat.

It was no longer the hat that seemed to be the problem but what each hat represented to the king. Each hat was a sign of disrespect. Each hat was a sin of rebellion. Each hat represented an act of disobedience and seemed to be covering yet one more. Much as Peggy tried to change the repetition of another hat, another one just continually happened. The King, now very indignant,
decided that the only way to stop the disrespect of hats, was to rid the kingdom of Peggy...that she must pay for her acts of rebellion and disobedience with her life and only then would they end. So from the high tower, the executioner removed Peggy from her jail cell to place her on the ledge ...where once more, the law of the kingdom, was to bow your head & remove your hat to the king...499..hat removed and once more another hat appeared but this one was not like the hat with the feather...the 500th hat before the eyes of the King and executioner was more beautiful than any...it was a CROWN, a crown of beauty, a crown of jewels and such brilliance, it was one of the most aMazing Crowns that the King had ever seen, more beautiful than his own.

He stood in awe and the glory of the LORD filled that tower! It was glorious! It was awesome! It was a magnificent view to ALL as they looked up to the mountaintop...there was such a radiance that it drew everyone to look. Each subject in the Kingdom stopped whatever they were doing and gasped as they looked in the direction of the High Tower. Yes, the glory of the KING of kings was present on that day. He came down from heaven to rescue and save His beloved Peggy. For Peggy was not deliberately disobeying the earthly king, in fact, she had been praying over and over for him to forgive her and have mercy than her prayers echoed to the heavens asking her KING to please help her, save her, deliver her from this plight, to give her an everlasting sign that HE heard her prayers, each and every one and now HE answered with His presence. A unimaginable, incomprehensible, breathe taking GLORIOUS power that shook the Kingdom as HE took the Crown and placed it on His own head as ALL the people shouted;

"Holy, holy, holy! Worthy is the King, who sits on the Heavenly Throne to receive ALL glory, honor and praise forever and evermore!"

Even King Pepe LePew had bowed to the KING, and declared that his Kingdom had now surrendered and was HIS Kingdom belonging to the REAL KING, the True authority, the Blessed Name of all Names, so that everyone must surrender and declare Him, Lord of lords and King of kings. For they all had witnessed how a simple feather in the hat had become a CROWN, first of thorns and now, it was a CROWN worthy and radiant with jewels, designed to fit only the One, who sacrificed His own life long ago on a hill then rose from the grave to declare His triumphant victory of GLORY!

YES, HIS NAME is JESUS,
Jesus Christ!

Will you bow to only HIM today
and celebrate my
500th post
as I honor Him, as my LORD
and KING?

MY PRAYER THIS DAY IS IN THIS SONG

    So faithful
    So constant
    So loving and so true
So powerful in all you do

    You fill me
    You see me
    You know my every move
and you love for me to sing to you

I know that you are for me
I know that you are for me
I know that you will never forsake me in my weakness
I know that you have come now,
even if to write upon my heart
to remind me who you are

    So patient
    So gracious
    So merciful and true
So wonderful in all you do

THANKS TO EACH ONE of YOU that have shared your favorite verses!

NOTE: If the verse was a favorite of any blogger/reader; their name is after it and my thanks! I will keep ADDING verses until I reach the 500 verses I set out to get. I have 50 more verses on Compassion in Tuesday's Proverbial Sunrise post and at least 100 in my Amazing Attributes...

The Bible verses for the most part are NASB(New American Standard) or NIV(New International Version).

    Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

    Exodus 15:26 HEALING
He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."

    Exodus 20:8 (NASB)
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

    Exodus 23:25 HEALING
Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.

    Numbers 6:24-26

" ' "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." '

    ***

    Deuteronomy 6:5 mine

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

    Deuteronomy 7:15 HEALING
The LORD will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt…

    Deuteronomy 28:1-14, 61 HEALING
If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.
The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you.
The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity--in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground--in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.
The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

The LORD will also bring on you every kind of sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.

    Deuteronomy 30:19-20 HEALING
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

    Joshua 1:9 (NIV) Serendipity
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

    1 Kings 8:56
Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

    1 Kings 19:11, 12 grey like snuffie
The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by."
Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.

    2 Chronicles 7:14 (NASB) mine
If my people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will take His stand on the earth.

    Psalm 19:14 (NASB)
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.

    Psalm 23 Denise and mine
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.

    Psalm 42 mine

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? My tears have been my food day and night, while men say to me all day long, 'Where is your God?' These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go with the multitude, leading the procession to the house of God, with shouts of joy and thanksgiving among the festive throng. Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

    Psalm 45:10-12 Bernice (godsown)
"Now listen, daughter, don't miss a word:forget your country, put your home behind you.Be here—the king is wild for you.Since he's your lord, adore him.
    Wedding gifts pour in from Tyre;
rich guests shower you with presents."

Psalm 46 (v.10 in particular) mine

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
    Selah

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.

God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.

Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations he has brought on the earth.

He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire.

    "Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."

The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
    Selah

    Proverbs 16:3 (NIV) Serendipity
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

    Proverbs 31:10-31 Keowdie

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.

Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.

She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.

She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.

She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.

She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.

She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.

She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.

In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.

When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.

Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.

She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.

She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
