FAITH FOCUS FRIDAY



Every Friday I invite you to FOCUS our FAITH by claiming a Promise from 365 promises and PRAYing with others FEARLESSLY for the needs of many including ourselves. There is nothing better than a day filled by His Holy Spirit, praying, interceding and building our faith through God's Word as we claim His Promises to us. I started with the first promise and then as I proceeded through each promise I changed to the next and then the next until I finally decided to choose Promise #180
from 2 Timothy 4:8 ... and stayed with this one; although each Promise spoke to my heart this week... each one grew in importance as the final Promise of June and this week sums up so well how each one is glorious to hold on to and claim because 'If we persist and do His will, we will receive what He has promised.' Every ONE of them!

"There is a crown of righteousness waiting for everyone who loves My Son." but perhaps I need 2 Timothy 4:18 also... "I will rescue you from evil and safely deliver you into My Kingdom." Thank You, Father for Your promises!

For He is true to His Word and Promises! Hallelujah! And these PROMISES are found in HIS WORD to us, the precious Bible, His sweet love letters to His children ...

and the SON, given to us, in LOVE!
Glory!
Not my righteousness, but HIS...
Not my crown, but HIS...
Not my love, but HIS...
how much I have yet to learn
how much more of Him I need to reflect
how much I need to persist in doing His will

The WELL
COME TO THE WELL

*Summer here, is hot and humid, and I had forgotten (since I'm not usually here at this time) RAIN! It has rained every night since summer began and the outlook: rain and cloudy. Did I say HOT? sweaty yucky hot
 
Now, you'd think that would be good and cool it off, but instead the days just get hotter and the temp really isn't that high. The rain comes in the night, early morning and many streets are flooded. This is to get us ready, I guess, for the next season, which is hurricane season in fall. I think I'm ready to return to the cold, snowy winters of MN, but I still prefer to stay clear of the horrendous tornado season without warnings.

The bad part for me with the rain, is I have a dog that goes into panic, panting heavily. I've tried everything I can think of... starting with prayer. So if you know anything about this, please let me know, and of course, please pray... because sleepless nights for me are not good. I'm not (sigh) complaining, I just get moody. Thank you all so much! Happy summer!

Even though, Promise #170 is part of my blog Bible verse, I am not choosing that one (which is a mark of victory for me). However at the time I'm writing this, I'm unable to choose... so we'll see which one God speaks to me as a Promise I need the most for this time. Of course, I need to claim every one of His Promises and make them my PRAYER but I'm leaning toward the ones from Isaiah...

My prayer is that the flames of adversity will not consume you as you pass through them. LIGHT of CREATION ~ 2

*I had this post all ready and opened it to check it when I went to the public cyber and for some unknown reason, the entire post disappeared and my Friday post (which I had messed up on and was fixing before this) appeared in its place with this title and these labels, so I dare not open EDIT on any others I have in draft but the content for "LIGHT of CREATION ~ 2" was totally gone, song and all. I have no idea what was here ... except for the following painting by Thomas Kinkade and Scripture verse.

remember and know that Our Shepherd is waiting to lead us to a better place, a higher place, one of tranquility and celestial glory, so keep alert and focused on Jesus Christ, the SON of all peace and our righteousness, who reigns forever and ever ... and He lives in you and me. SOAK in the SON this SONday and love on Him as He loves on you and fills you with His Peace!
