"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

WEEK 6 FRIDAY FOCUS: MY BLESSING

My preface to MY BLESSING: (really it'd be better if I did just "bless you")
Not so sure how the way I shared this, last week worked for you, but I may have to do it that way this week as well. And depending on other Bible studies, this may have to go into 'hold' status, even though I have the drafts ready, but they run all the way up until July 18th ... or thereabouts. That's a long time. Not that sure that anyone else cares or is getting all the benefits out of this study as I am, as I drag it out week after week, especially after last week's topic.

So, in case you never got back to MY BEST (and this is not my best) to see the rest that I did come back and complete ... click here. And once again, this is midway ... which means that there are still 7 more resolutions (whew) ... but as I read, I am seeing how much I need e.v.e.r.y.o.n.e. of these ... so we'll have to work this out and finish somehow but that's my problem not yours. My apologies in advance however, if I fail to complete all 13 resolutions. I may have to just post the "Basics" of each ... Anyways, on to ...

RESOLUTION # 6

"I will be a woman who is quick to listen and slow to speak. I will care about the concerns of others and esteem them more highly than myself."Priscilla Shirer
"a resolution to esteem others with my time, concern, and full attention"

MY BLESSING
"a resolution to esteem others with my time, concern, and full attention"
by Priscilla Shirer
"The Gift"
"Shhhh"
"Underneath it all"

Week 6: My Blessing
Reading: pages 111-121
Memory Verse: Proverbs 10:19 (NLT)
from Priscilla's blog: Going Beyond Ministry

Memory Verse:
"Too much talk leads to sin.Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.Proverbs 10:19 (NLT)
{this is what the bare necessities "BASICS" would look like}
(yep, kinda incomplete looking but still requires time and work)

ON POST DATE 5-30,
the boxes below were empty and just the part written in blue
below the dashes were here and comments were closed.
As I am able, I added:

"The Gift"

"What is the most difficult part of listening for you?"

"Recall the last time you genuinely felt heard. Make a list of some one word adjectives that describe how this encounter made you feel about what you were saying? and about you?"

"Who are the people in your life who would benefit the most if you took the time to listen to them?"

"Shhhh"

Priscilla shares this as she starts this section ...

"More than a decade ago, while living on the cusp of my wedding and marriage, I came across this insightful definition of "wisdom":
(1) knowing what to say, and (2) not saying it."

How very wise! huh?
expanded more as Priscilla continues to write and add:
Proverbs 10:19
commentary

"What would immediately change for the better in your life if you began exercising spiritual restraint of silence?"

"Try it for just a day or two. Deliberately keep from saying something that's better left unsaid. Allow the bait of another's unkind or inappropriate remark to land without hooking a response from you. Record what you observe about yourself and the change in the dynamics around you."

well, trust me on this one, I've tried it years ago and sometimes in recent years and I really get what Priscilla is saying and what should happen, but in my case, it rarely does. I become more frustrated and sooner or later, anger gets the best of me. Stuffing doesn't work, holding back, however I will take this up with God and ask the Holy Spirit for spiritual restraint. But even if I do, I am not in the same circumstances as in my past, so ya' never know ... if I practice now that it will come in handy for when I return to similar living in the past. I know that when I mothered 2 kids of someone else, I did exercise this, but it would have enhanced our lives if I had done better in exercising spiritual restraint for our kids and in our marriage ... but to "deliberately keep from saying something that's better left unsaid" does not always get the response or change in the dynamics that one would hope.

"Underneath it all"
RESOLUTION #6
shared once again, for signing purposes

"As you prepare to make this resolution, picture the people in your life who most need to receive this gift from you, as well as the obstacles that often keep you from being able to give it. Before rushing ahead and signing your name, consider what changes you'll need to make to become a person who is "quick to listen and slow to speak." Do you need to turn off some technological devices, for example, so people feel prioritized and important? Be willing to make some of these practical and necessary adjustments so this resolution doesn't just "sit on the shelf" of your life and not become a reality. Then, when you're ready, prayerfully read the statement below and sign your name."

"I will be a woman who is quick to listen and slow to speak. I will care about the concerns of others and esteem them more highly than myself."Priscilla Shirer

PRAYERFULLY
working on this one
Peggy

------------------------------------------------------

Does it make you a little curious about what's missing? "Underneath it all" so to speak ... I must also admit without reading ahead, this is how I have these set up and just reading this resolution as is ... once again ... I'm not too sure that I can resolve this as written ... not saying that I don't need to be a Proverbs 31 woman ... just admitting that I know this is one of my biggest weaknesses, just saying ... I am what I am and after all these years, really hard to change as much as a good intention or resolution may help ... not ready for this one yet. Perhaps this is the underlying reason for my hesitancy to continue, added to the other "busy" summer agenda and studies. So if next Friday, you don't see these resolutions being continued or even the basic skeleton ... somewhere mid July or August (I will complete posting them whether they are done or not) minus the questions ... and me or my comments. I would not want anyone to miss out on the other GREAT summer Bible studies happening or any other FUN summer plans... so let's agree to set this one aside for now. OK?

And MY BLESSING(S), I count every day, and YOU are my richest and most prized blessings (remember this post?) after Our Lord Jesus Christ! of course, but YOU are His hands, feet, arms, and heart, etc., right? At least you are and have been to me and I'm giving thanks for you to God! The best quote for me was in the section "The Gift" and I close with it:

"I am aware that the greatest gift you can ever give someone is the gift of your own time. Thank you for giving me that gift today." - unknown by me, except for that it is a well-known speaker from Zig Ziglar Corp. per Priscilla S.

COMMENTS are CLOSED OPEN now until that I added the questions ...

ALL MY BLESSINGS and LOVE,

WEEKLY ONE WORD or WEDS. ONE WORD (WOW)

Alzheimers Research Changes LivesSometimes I share on SONdays and have more I'd like to add about something, yet I am trying to keep at least SONdays to be a little bit shorter blog post (not always possible), Moore On Mon. are the next shortest, and my Fri. focus on "resolutions" from my book study are the longest ... However, on this past SONday, I ended with a song, but right before that with my closing signature I shared a "pin" image and noted that I'd do just that this Weds. so ...

I don't know much about this "pin" or the HOPE it has for what it represents ... but I DO know that every time I remember to click on it, it is helping with a topic ... research that has become near and dear (actually a heart matter for me that needs much HOPE and I know so little about). You can trust that I am trying to learn all that I can with HOPE that I will not have to face the hopeless aspect of this for a dear loved one (or who knows, maybe even for myself, God forbid). One does not like to think on things like that ... yet we never know. I saw an excellent movie on this that broke my heart and really made me wake up to this and also have read some bloggers who have had to face this with an aging parent ... the problem for me, as I am aging, too ... is not for my parents but my spouse.

I still have the old buttons on my Mission blog for some of these but "Greater Good ... " has added more (so I need to update and especially add the one for this) yet once I click on the first, I click on them all and the last few added each have touched my life with someone I love dearly. The "pin" image is not the button, it's an actual pin ... you can get and wear and every order from each page helps that category. Here is one of various buttons that you can add to your website, blog, FB, etc. and help support (there are ones for each of the categories like VETS, Diabetes, Autism, Hunger ...)

Click Every day! The Alzheimer's Site

All I know is that this page has some very insightful and helpful articles and information. So this is one of the places I go to read up and learn all that I can. It's impressive to think that just by 1 click, I am helping contribute to further research and funding, whether I can afford to donate or not, for each worthy cause, this CLICK helps ... and just maybe brings HOPE, or an answer for those of us who need HOPE.

... LIFESTYLE CHOICES FOR PREVENTION ...Lifestyle Choice For Prevention
"Until there is a cure for Alzheimer’s disease, one of our best weapons in that fight is preventative action. UCLA Longevity Center director Dr. Gary Small believes wise lifestyle choices can play a significant role in keeping our brains healthy. Here, Small speaks to the “CBS This Morning” co-hosts about how diet and exercise can help. Read more at The Alzheimer's site blog

This is such a good resource site, with so much available from articles to videos. Also, love all the shopping areas to help support the cause ... when I get overwhelmed with all I am reading and absorbing there  ... I whisk myself away on a shopping spree (kinda like "window shopping" for clothing, jewelry, gifts, totes, and so much more ... ya' can easily get carried away) ...

MOORE On MONDAY (MOM) ~ 5

"WHISPERS of HOPE"
by Beth Moore

for today
Day 5
Focus: Luke 7:47
Scripture Reading: Luke 7:36-50

"Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven--as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little." Luke 7:47

Beth starts out with this invitation "to dine at the table of contrast" in Luke 7:

"... We witness Christ in relation to two people, both equally loved by the One who sent His Son to dinner that night... "B.Moore

Beth takes the time to explain the contrast as favorably as she can for both the Pharisee and the woman, trying to remain impartial. But sums it up beautifully with these words ... looking at Luke 7:39 a bit more ... (this is so good!) having just pointed out that the Pharisee having lived a 'righteous life' never applied the word 'sinner' to himself ...

... "The Pharisee could not comprehend the sinful woman's actions because he could not comprehend the depth of her love. He had everything to offer Christ that evening: a spotless record, knowledge, stimulating conversation - but he had no love. She had nothing to offer Christ that evening but her terrible record ... But she had love." ...B.Moore

with the following standing out the most to me ... as a woman, and a sinner too

... "The level of intimacy her repentance required plummeted her to a depth of love."B.Moore ... "that flowed from forgiveness, not from deep sin."
(last part reworded by me because it preceded Beth's quote)

"...God's mercy does not make sin tolerable it makes sin forgivable!"

continuing with this profound truth

"... the proud and the depraved alike must kneel at the same feet for mercy. For those willing, God turns sin's empty cistern into a deep well spring overflowing with love."B.Moore

So very beautifully put and such wisdom in the truth.

And Beth ties it all up and applies this to you and me with ... a reflective question followed by an invitation to ask Him into that place (in prayer):

"Do you have something in your life for which you feel God cannot forgive you?"

"OPEN YOUR HEART TO GOD'S FORGIVING, REDEEMING LOVE ... "

{I really love this as my closing, because that just happens to be the name of my home church in MN!}

TIME TO PRAY - P.R.A.I.S.E.(Praise, Repent, Acknowledge, Intercede, Supplication, Equipping)

Heavenly Father ... Thank You for Your Redeeming Love! ... when I may be proud, humble me and whenever I sin, bring me quickly to my knees in repentance and asking for forgiveness. Help me to ask the one I've offended for the same forgiveness before I come and ask this of You. I give You praise for the many times that You forgive me, the depth of Your love and mercy and the intimate relationship that we share! Thank You for accepting me and cleansing me, Lord Jesus of all my sin and even any self righteousness, knowing it all is my righteousness in You, Christ. Thank You for Your breastplate of righteousness! Thank You for the helmet of salvation, the belt of Truth, the shield of faith, the shoes of the gospel of peace and the Sword of the Spirit each day!

* For more details about this, when I started sharing "Whispers of Hope" go back here and here. Often I share the teachings of Beth Moore from Life Today but I will do my best to not change course again but steady my course for Mondays to focus on "Whispers of HOPE" with MOM. Announcement:
"Children of the Day" is an 8-week study that starts on Tues. June 3rd and will wrap it up on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 with Beth Moore on her LPM Blog. Check it out - it's on 1 & 2 Thessalonians.

WEEKLY ONE WORD ~ HOPE

[image credit: familyshare FB or P]

"Treasures in Jars of Clay
15 For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God. 16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17 For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, … "
2 Corinthians 4:16

... FINITE DISAPPOINTMENT ... INFINITE HOPE ...

In this world, we continue to have to accept and endure
DISAPPOINTMENTS
yet God promises us through Jesus Christ
INFINITE HOPE
that does not disappoint

I will hold on to
With HOPE anew,
Peggy

* I hope to be able to share more about that "pin" image at the end ... soon ... for now, this song will be my closing. I forgot to add it in my 1st posting of this since I'm really trying to keep my SONday posts short ... so when I want to share more, it will be on Weds., a continuation of my WEEKLY ONE WORD as a WEDS. ONE WORD, which is weekly too!

WEEK 5 FRIDAY FOCUS: MY BEST

I've decided to begin and end with the RESOLUTION since after reading the final section, we need to sign or affirm the resolution and our commitment to it, but it's also necessary at the beginning so you can see where we're headed with Resolution #5 ... plus I also will not be sharing the questions ahead anymore until I read that section ...

RESOLUTION # 5

" I will seek to devote the best of myself, my time and my talents to the primary roles the Lord has entrusted to me in this phase of my life."Priscilla Shirer

"a resolution to devote myself completely to God's priorities for my life"

"MY BEST"
"a resolution to devote myself completely to God's priorities for my life"
by Priscilla Shirer

"Boxes"
"Timing is everything"
"Anything, Everything and Whatever"
"It Only Works when I Breathe"

Week 5: My Best
Reading: pages 90-105
Memory Verse: Colossians 3:17
from Priscilla's blog: Going Beyond Ministry

This one begins the next Part ... Part II ... "THIS IS WHAT I HAVE"

MEMORY VERSE

Colossians 3:17

{in context}

16Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father."

"MY BEST"

Before reading this section and these 4 chapters, I have been sharing my take (which may or may not have been appropriate or accurate without knowing the intent of the RESOLUTION in full from the author's perspective). I was thinking that by waiting on the questions, I would also refrain myself and wait to share (but most of you know me better than that by now). So here's my 2 cents worth ...

Quite often, I am sure, most of us feel that we are doing or giving our BEST to God and to others. And at the time, we probably are ... however, I want us to truly stop and think about this: are we giving our BEST every day or when it suits us or we just happen to be in a place to show or shine our BEST? are we really doing our BEST? are we using our time the BEST? are we giving our time the BEST we can to God and to others? or to our own selves be true??? OR are we just doing or giving enough to get by? are we trying to lull ourselves and believe that we are doing our BEST? are we really putting our talents to do what God has entrusted to us? {Don't answer these, except to your self and be truthful ... don't be critical or hard on yourself, don't search for an excuse or justify, don't be content until you dig deep within and find your BEST and what you have been doing with it

Because honestly, as I read this RESOLUTION, I know I'm lacking in doing and giving MY BEST. I've become complacent and more withdrawn and at times, feel that I've given and I've done MY BEST but now I'm done ... yet I realize that's not true and I'm shirking in my God given responsibility and devotion to serving Him with MY BEST... because frankly, I have much more and so do you, so let's stir that up in each other, in our sisters in Christ, in blog land and the real world, let's give our BEST to humankind and encourage one another to press on and fight the good fight and do all we can while we can ... and not grow weary. Are ya' with me? THE BEST is yet to be for you and me, God willing as He entrusted us with this awesome privilege and responsibility with LOVE ... His LOVE

* I WILL be back section by section and I hope that you will too to share your thoughts to the questions as I add them below

*******

"Boxes"

  • "If you have a tendency to spread yourself too thinly, in what kind of state does this typically tend to leave you at the end of the day or the start of the week?"
  • "Label each box with each of the different responsibilities in your life. (Add more if you need to.) Color in each one according to the level of time and effort you invest. Compare them and prayerfully consider if your priorities reflect God's intentions for you in this season of your life."

  • Sometimes drained, other times "pumped up" depending on the success level of where I spread my efforts and what was accomplished or seeded or started
  • The boxes fluctuate also based upon the current need or interest or availability and I always prayer over them and God's intentions for me with them or not in every season of my life and theirs
These are some of my "boxes" ... Priscilla does not list any of what are "boxes" might be, she just shares a story of lessons learned from a wise friend that had been actively involved in ministry for 30 yrs. ... "these boxes ... are symbolic of the activities on one's life, the various undertakings into which we invest our time, talent, and energy. Our tendency is to try keeping them just this way- equally filled with identical amounts of ourselves and our effort. This, we think, is what balance looks like. But in reality ... a life out of balance." The advice offered is fabulous (on p.91). The webcast vimeo shares the "boxes".

etc.

"Timing is everything"
Haggai 1:2-4

  • "Ask a wise, honest friend who knows you well how she thinks you're doing managing your current priorities."
  • "As you think about those things you want to do but can never seem to make time for remember the biblical appeal (Ecc.3:1) How could this deliberate act of trust and perspective free you to invest yourself more joyfully in today?" p.97

"Anything, Everything and Whatever"
1 Corinthians 10:31
Matthew 5:48

"When honoring God is your focus, it pares down your purpose and narrows your focus. Carefully reconsider this sentence in light of your own personal circumstances, then record your thoughts:

  • How does a focus on honoring God...
  • a. lighten the burden of the perfectionist?
  • b. inspire you to give your best effort?
  • In which tasks have you felt like your best efforts were not good enough?
  • "When faced with an activity like this-one that you find particularly challenging-how are you encouraged by knowing that God will empower your efforts designed to bring Him glory?"

I don't think that I am a perfectionist (except I really like things done my way, perfect or not) and I hope as I learn and honor God more in my daily life that it will lighten any burden I carry ... because I know that He cares but accepts me, my messes and all, as I should others (sigh) so I need to cut others some slack and focus on honoring God ... I am inspired by others (like my 2 faithful commentators on my lengthy blogs as well as others that read but don't get to comment) to give my best effort to everything and anything so that it honors God. Not always so successful but from all I have seen in my life with God, He honors my efforts and endeavors to persevere against the odds when I give my best to Him. My major area, without giving all the details and specifics, that MY BEST was not good enough ... was in my marriage and family. I pray that God will be glorified by my continuing to make my BEST efforts to do my part and I'm so thankful that God empowers me and guides me, if I listen and obey in any challenge I face. I just turn it over to Him! Yet even when I do, I tend to want to still do my part and my best, which most of the time would be to just trust and be still. But I'm learning to... and really trying even in this next part ...

""By signing this RESOLUTION. you are choosing not to allow perfectionism to rule your life. You are determining rather to consider carefully what God has prioritized for you in this season of life, and then examine the unique qualities you've been given to bring to those tasks. You are accepting this resolution as an invitation to become fully engaged in today's assignment and bring all of yourself into every one. You will no longer see taking care of yourself as something to be ashamed of, but a requirement to enable you to better serve. Consider your notes from the previous chapters, and then make your resolution with confidence."Priscilla Shirer {emphasis mine} "

More on my WEEKLY ONE WORD on Weds.

MY ONE WORD
for
2014
is
HOPE
'
This past SONday, I shared just a bit from "Hope for Your Heart" by June Hunt, so today I want to expand on this (since I am trying to not write so much on Sun.{I know "that'll be the day"}, so anyways, if need be, I'll add more on Weds.)

My problem is that I have already shared the "Six Spiritual Aspects of an Anchor" using the acronym A.N.C.H.O.R. by June Hunt when I shared her teaching on these videos back here, Here, and finally HERE in February - which is what I had hoped to do add today but I already have it here (this is what is shared thoroughly in the 3rd chapter of this 1st Part of her book under "Reasons for Hope" ... 3 "Your Unfailing Anchor" Hope Holds You Firmly Secure [Security: Outmaneuvering the Enemy]

However, there are 2 essential chapters that precede this "Reason for Hope" giving us two others:

... HOPE DISPELS YOUR DARKNESS ...

HOPE TRANSFORMS YOUR THINKING

The 1st one: The Ultimate Life Preserver
The 2nd one: When Trouble Hits Wave upon Wave
(which actually is the one that I should have chosen to go with the song on SONday ... "Oceans" ...)

Forgive me for doing these out of order ... but with the way things are for many of us, in this time or season of our life, it seems like more than just I, are clinging to HOPE: Our Anchor and seeking more of this in 2014 as "wave upon wave" continues unending it seems far too often ... I know I'm not the only one. But I just happen to be the one that God whispered "HOPE" for My One Word last fall for this year ... and without understanding or questioning it at all, I accepted it and began this JOURNEY of HOPE and then my PROJECTof H.O.P.E.{no, I have not forgotten about it, but still waiting on my "button" and "non-profit" status possibility (in fact, I have another brainstorm of an idea, I'll be sharing soon) and I'm hoping you can help me again.} I digressed ...

{I should be preparing my Friday study post ... so it may post late ... like Sat. because for some reason, God is drawing me to sharing this 2nd Chapter}

*... it might have been much easier for me to write on the troubles that seem to beset and hit so many of us lately "wave upon wave", but that would not bring HOPE, which is my intention instead of the rampant "hopelessness" that we may or could find ourselves in as "wave upon wave" crashes in around us and we reach out in search of the Rock, the Anchor ... to grab hold of ... and steady us. It's easy for me to recall times like that but I will not dwell there.*

"2WHEN TROUBLE HITS WAVE UPON WAVE (p.31-43)
"Hope Transforms Your Thinking"
Transformed:
*A Boat without a Rudder/a Ship without a Sail

Proverbs 3:5-6

2 Samuel 22:5-7 (ESV)

Psalm 107:28-31

* story about Richard Van Pham (June 2002) Long Beach Harbor, CA
shared in Chapter 2

Some of us may identify with the image of being a "boat without a rudder" or "a ship without a sail" ... perhaps we feel washed over "wave after wave" of one thing after another. However, Jesus is your "Ultimate Life Preserver" (1) and whatever "storm" you are experiencing, Jesus Christ is the best Anchor. "He will keep you from hopelessly drifting. He will hold you both safe and secure." Maybe 'someone else' has taken the wind out of your sail or they are encountering life's difficulties so they're taking it out or holding on and submerging you along with them ... that's all the enemy's doing, remember that (as much as it seems the other person, we each are subjects to the devil's whims and ploys against one another) ... don't let anyone take away your wind... that's the gentle breeze of the Holy Spirit and sometimes it may be the forceful power of the Holy Spirit (when you need more) ... just open up your spirit and invite Him to come in and take control. He can stir you like a rudder does and steer you clear of unsuspecting "drowning" ... or breathless, hopelessness ... He will revive your drooping spirit and give you rest and hope. 'A boat without a rudder' just drifts and drifts aimlessly, seek your anchor in God's Word. 'A ship without a sail' has no power or guidance but you can get that through the Holy Spirit and being filled with a fresh wind ... a revived desire to press on and beyond. He is never too far to not hear you call

You need
TRANSFORMATION
and
AFFIRMATION

"from the inside out"

{I've been preparing a series for Sept.30 days on "Being Transformed"}
so this just confirms that I'm on the right track

I love it when God puts all the pieces together and I see it being revealed before me like this. Here's another brief example. I have been sharing on Mon. about Beth Moore's upcoming SIESTA Summer Bible Study on 1 & 2 Thessalonians. Since I'm unable to get her book, at this time and I prefer to follow along just with God's Word, I began looking at/for Bible Studies online on Thessalonians. The second one I came across was entitled "Hope for a Hopeless World" (once again lining up with My One Word:HOPE) amazing ... that's Our God! I would never have thought that a study in Thessalonians (with Beth Moore, just like her book I'm sharing on Mon) would be centered around that one word: HOPE ... yet here it is once again, God revealing which study and book of the Bible I should choose to focus on ... (as you may have seen I had quite a few alternatives, plus SRT just announced that they're doing Titus and Ruth) ... so many good choices for the summer (and here I was leaning toward "The Sacred Echo" on prayer with Margaret Feinberg {that's why I wait before I plunge ahead and purchase a book or request one} ... yep, God is aMazing and awesome as He continues to whisper HOPE to me. (sigh)

I did not realize that I needed more HOPE but the more 2014 quickly passes, I am finding out how much I really do need it and that God always has a reason

So glad that I did get "HOPE for Your Heart". In this 2nd chapter, June vividly describes her early life history, her hopelessness as a teen and why, as well as a suicide call that she received on her radio talk show and she walks us through step by step with the caller and rescuing him from suffering or ending the "hopelessness" he had.  Since this is National Mental Health month ... I should be focusing more on mental health, which is, in my humble opinion, an integral part of spiritual health (and vice a versus). Truly we need to be more of a church body that offers healing ... and HOPE!

MAY GOD PART
your sea of
HOPELESSNESS
and
calm
"wave after wave"
so that
YOU
can walk on the waters
with
HIM
and
be reassured of
HIS FAITHFULNESS
in the midst of
relentless
storms
HOPE

MOORE On MONDAY (MOM) ~ 4

"WHISPERS of HOPE"
by Beth Moore

for today
Day 4
Focus: Psalm 107:20
Scripture Reading: Psalm 107:10-21

Beth begins by clarifying this for us about Psalm 107

"The psalm does not reflect the ravages of and restoration from physical illness. In this text God sent His Word to heal a different illness-"Beth Moore

Do you know what this healing is for in Psalm 107?

Isaiah 50:5

"... Many of us desperately need the healing power of God's Word."

I have so many lines highlighted, that I want to share it all, but you do know I can't. (I would if I could). In fact, I believe that God is speaking this directly to me (since that "submission" resolution and this root issue since my youth) ... yet Beth has a way of speaking to all of us, even if and when, the "whisper" may be directly meant for a few of us more strongly. (hint, hint, Peggy)

"... Please hear my heart. Healing is found in God's Word-not just in seeking healing-but in seeking Him."Beth Moore

THE HEALER

THE DELIVERER

THE REDEEMER

"Only God can set you free. His Word can soak the chains
from your wrists." Beth Moore

Is there any area of your life that needs healing? ... Tell it to

THE GREAT PHYSICIAN

then seek God's
WORD for HEALING."
~Beth Moore~

Oh Heavenly Father

How I need You! How I love You! How thankful I am that You know exactly when and what we need healing for ... Thank You for slowing life down so we can stop, reflect and grow from what we read. Thank You for Your Word that brings and is a healing balm to my soul, medicine to my lips and soothing ointment to my mind and heart. What I wonderful Healer You are! I love Your Word! I love You as Healer, Deliverer, the Great Physician and all that You are. I seek You! I seek to grow closer to You through Your Word and an intimate connection like no other. Remove anything that stands in the way so that I can hear Your sweet whispers of healing love, strength, comfort, joy, peace, flowing deep into my spirit. I long for You and a deepening of our relationship. Take me to a higher level with You. I desire Your wisdom and counsel in whatever I do and especially what I say each day. Guard my tongue and help me to understand more fully how to submit and surrender completely to You each day. I give this day to You. Use me and it fully to bring healing within me and to others in Jesus' precious healing name ... I give You all the glory and praise!!!
