"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

{sorry this did not publish, I forgot to change the time when I posted it}

Today as I take my
"Walk On Weds."
I'm leaning totally into the
focusing on
one week from yesterday
flying home to MN to enjoy this season
for the whole month
{hoping I have not missed the peak in my part of the state}
because as I've mentioned more than once
I love "fall" - it's my favorite season
{same one as what I have on my desktop}

And notice it has a verse from Psalm 119 and my, how I love the wording
{much more in tune with noticing the Psalms this month}

... My Comfort in my suffering is this: YOUR
Promise preserves my life ... verse 50

has really helped me this month
being concentrated in the
surrounds me with Comfort
just as the
autumn leaves
do also
the warm colors
the leaves falling and dancing
about in the cool breeze of the wind
{at least I hope so}
looking forward to the warmth and the wind
but mostly the rich colors

My *You Version shared two Psalms (133 & 136) yesterday from
today's readings in
*"The Magnificence of Christ in the Psalms"

I have found this to be a wonderful awakening to seeing
Christ and His Magnificence as I read the Psalms this September
stirring the "leaves" inside of me that I must gather once again
to the God of heaven reflected here in the glory and splendor
of Autumn Leaves so rich in color and beauty

"Dear Father, I honor the Lord Jesus, the God of Heaven, Who deserves continual thanks. I am very grateful that His love endures forever, and that because of His enduring love, He created the heavens and the earth, including me and all mankind, and that He came to earth to demonstrate Your love and His love for us. As I read all of Psalm 136, I am in awe of His abounding greatness as the God of Heaven. A few of those aspects of His great-ness that are stated in this passage declare that He is: “the God of gods;” Who “alone does great wonders;” Who “spread out the earth upon the waters;” Who “struck down the firstborn of Egypt;” Who “divided the Red Sea asunder;” Who “led his people through the desert;” Who “freed us from our enemies;” and much more.

"This also reminds me of what the prophet Jonah said in Jonah 1:9 to the people who were asking who he was: “I am a Hebrew and I worship the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.” I pray that You will increasingly reveal all the glories, attributes, promises and power of the God of Heaven to me and all believers, so we will fully live in His enduring love. May our passion for Him be so consuming that we must tell every lost person we can about Him. All my hope is in Jesus, in Whose name I pray these things."~YouVersion reading plan*

He deserves your thanks!
His love never quits.
(The Message)
Psalm 136:1
It's time to find me a bench and sit
as I marvel at
Christ's Magnificence
as I continue with
 today's reading and prayer
Psalm 140:6-8

"Dear Father, I praise the Sovereign Lord Jesus that He is my Strong Deliverer, and the Strong Deliverer of all who have received Him as their Savior. I think of the unlimited strength He has always possessed, and of the greatness of all His other attributes! Truly, Jesus is the all-strong, awesome God! I am forever grateful that His strength that created and sustains the whole world, has already delivered me countless times from the devil’s attacks, and from the eternal penalty of my sins. I give Him all thanks that He shields my head (and my whole body, mind and spirit) in all battles, far beyond what all man’s armor bearers could conceive. Like King David, who wrote this Psalm, without my Strong Deliverer I would have perished many times.

I also rejoice at the amazing example in David’s life when he confidently faced Goliath with these words recorded in 1 Samuel 17:47, “All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD’s and he will give all of you into our hands.” I pray that You will regularly remind me and the whole Church of the Strong Deliverer’s fathomless strength, so we will continually praise Him, thank Him, trust Him and cry for His mercy in all our battles. I pray these things in His almighty name."~YouVersion reading plan*

I needed both of these prayers and appreciated their timeliness.
I cannot help but fall down or bow
to the Glory of God in the splendor of each
Autumn season
in my life
This is the reminder
I need as I venture into this new season
and returning to my home front

So I will lift my head and my arms {yeah}
giving thanks, praise and glory to
Christ Jesus
from whom
I receive
for every season of my life
Asking prayers for
my furry friends that I leave in MX
and their care while I am away
especially my
{who still is not better}
waddles like a hippo (the poor thing) but
eating, drinking, and moving well still
{yet treatment given was not successful in eliminating her mid-section bloating}
I will not do x-rays nor surgery here on her
as she is content and seems fine otherwise
{I've never seen anything like this}
so I leave a bit concerned and worried about leaving them
(if you recall, last year, I left suddenly from MN when I was falsely told that Chiqui died, when in actuality, she had not but was hiding and her caregiver thought she had escaped, afraid of my reaction after searching everywhere and not finding her, so told me she was gone)
Anyways, can really use some prayer
for an uneventful time away
this year
good care
Thank you so much!
In His Grace

September does end today
remember we still have two days left of
to complete our

Thank you so much for enriching my
with you visits and sharing
May God multiply His riches in
your life for your time in His Word
reading the Psalms with me
a fellow sojourner
so blessed

Can't wait for the "fall" harvest in our lives!

Tomorrow starts my 31 day plan of
"In His Footsteps"
{although I only have half of them done, I hope I am able to continue}
Please join me on this new journey
more in tomorrow's intro

Note: The reason for so many copies of this; I really dislike how Blogger changes all my spacing when it publishes. So I try to fix and it does not get much better. Discouraged by the "mess"... nothing new to me.

S.P.A. Week 5

intro was
with the Challenge and full Plan
followed by
Monday - Friday
will be
our finale

{linked to The Message right now}

"The 150 Psalms are divided into 5 books in the Hebrew Bible to correspond with the 5 books of Moses or the Pentateuch. Psalms as we have it today is just like it was when Christ used the book."

Each of the 5 books of the Psalms
correspond to the first 5 books of the Bible

Book 1 – called the Genesis book of Psalms (chapters 1 through 41)
Book 2 – called the Exodus book of 31 Psalms (chapters 42 through 72)
Book 3 – called the Leviticus book of 17 Psalms (73 through 89)
Book 4 – called the Numbers book of 17 Psalms (chapters 90 through 106)

This is the first time I have read the Psalms with this understanding and it really has helped me to better view
each Psalm with a more clear perspective and meaning.

"Book 5 – called Deuteronomy book of 44 Psalms (chapters 107 through 150 It concerns God and His Word, showing that all blessings of man (Book 1), of Israel (Book 2), of the Sanctuary (Book 3), and of the earth and all men (Book 5), are based upon obedience to the Word of God (Deuteronomy 8:3). Disobedience brought man’s sorrows, Israel’s dispersion, the Sanctuary’s ruin, and earth’s miseries; and it is only by obedience to God’s Word that these curses will be removed. While several divisions distinguish the other books, this book is, like God’s Word itself, a perfect whole. It is the only one of the 5 books with an even number of Psalms."-Studying the Psalms

In fact, it has assisted me to truly see
"The Magnificence of Christ in the Psalms"
{another YV reading plan that I enjoyed along with this}

I have been trying to compile PLAYLISTS at You Tube of each group with songs. So far I have these (unlisted ones) and will be starting on this new group:

Psalms 1-30

Psalms 31-60

Psalms 61-90

Psalms 91-120

meanwhile enjoy these and this

So let's return to this S.P.A. place often and
be refreshed by the Spirit through the Psalms

so that we can be
renewed and transformed
in that quiet and secret
place with the
Almighty God
All ways
by His Spirit
in our minds and in our hearts
for the good of our whole body
resting in His Peace
after being
once again
in Christ Jesus
{after all, isn't that the purpose of a time at the SPA?}

SOAK in His Presence
Prepare all of us to
Abide even closer
with Him

Remember to come here whenever you can
to share which Psalms are your favorites
or you hear something specific for you from God
through one of the Psalms or a song / and Psalm stands out

* Happy Birthday Dad! Have a heavenly celebration! I think since you'd be well over 100 by now, you have found the best place to be and celebrate every day. Thinking of you, mom and Gary-missing you all as always! Sending all my love ~ Peggy ~ still wondering how those "Blood Moons" might look from your angle and what you may know about them. Kinda looney how both days of eclipse happened on your birthday(28th) and the day you left this earthly home for your eternal one(13th). Any significance in this? Here's what National Geographic has about the moon. Fascinating and still interesting to me.

  • Day 43: Approaching God with Confidence
  • Day 44: The Panorama of God’s Grace
  • Day 45: Sustaining Grace
  • Day 46: Super-Lavish Grace!
  • Day 47: Grace in 3-D
  • Day 48: Calming Grace
  • Day 49: Simply Amazed By Grace

    from the book
    God's Word

"From the fullness of His grace we have all received
    one blessing after another "
    John 1:16

    Day 49
    "Simply Amazed by Grace"

Readings in this devotion come from:
    Romans 11:33
    Ephesians 3:17-19

There were no "Discussion Questions" in this one
but of course, I have some too

What is the most Amazing part of this study or God's GRACE that you have found anew?

How does God's GRACE reach into your life at this season and what changes do you see from His Grace and being immersed in His Grace?

    How can we not be

    "Simply AMAZED by GRACE"!!!

    TLC Sermons:
    6. Grace-Inspired Change
    7. How Grace Changes Me
    8. The Panorama of Grace

The 50th day of "Grace Immersion" takes us back to the beginning with more details of John Newton's early life (the composer of "Amazing Grace") but because I chose the label "50 days"

I thought I should not let you think I just left out the 50th day. The fact is that "Grace Immersion" actually has BONUS devotions that go beyond the 7th week into an 8th week with these:

Day 50: John Newton: The Rest of the Story
Day 51: Billy Graham Gets Busted
    Day 52: Grace Anatomy
Day 53: Don’t Receive Grace In Vain
    Day 54: Grace: Classic Christianity
    Day 55: Grace Names
    Day 56: Hitting Bottom
Day 57: How Dare You Sleep On Soft Pillows?!
    Day 58: Live Free!
Day 59: Distracted from Him by It
    Day 60: The Grace Boat
Day 61: Grace Teaches Me To Say No
Day 62: Listen to the Music
    Day 63: Grace In Disguise
    Day 64: The 3:16 Promise

Sadly, sometimes they are not available online and sometimes they are over here, but there always is the actual book by Rene Schlaepfer of "Grace Immersion". This indeed is one fantastic 50 day plunge into God's Amazing Grace! I'm a bit partial but I truly loved every one. Throughout this series, but especially in Week 7 {that lasted for the last 7 SONdays here, making this 7 weeks, not all 7 days in one week} ... I truly spent time marveling at the "wonders of GRACE" as Pastor Rene entitled this last scoop ... looking at the true wonders, the unspeakable "fullness of His GRACE"!

And I'm so thankful that I came upon this book and study for My One Word of 2015: GRACE! The perfect word and study for my blog. I just wish I was more gifted and able to put it altogether like this senior pastor of Twin Lake Church has.

I'd recommend this for every church as a church and/or small group study. I may choose to feature more of these on SONdays 'til the end of this year or who knows maybe in the "Gardens of GRACE" (just not in Oct. or Nov.) So this is it!

    Let's continue being
    by His
    every single day

    Friday, September 25, 2015

As I am Seeking and still Abiding
I wanted to share something special and taking a chance
by putting it all out here for y'all to read
I do so to give praise and glory to
    God Almighty

    {at least I hope so}

Today's Friday Focus is a bit different than usual
it's kinda like Walk On Weds. but on Fri.
so grab one of these chairs and a sweet lemonade or ice tea
sit yourself down for a spell, you do deserve a break
let's soak in these last warm days of the season
get ready to read for awhile
    about my little miracle
    {I promise to not take too much of your time}

I'm not too sure if many of you are aware that earlier this year, I lost mobility in my left arm {soon to be taken care of when I get back home to my own Dr.- he's the best and knows me well-all of me}. The pain has subsided for now, unless I move it wrong, yet I continue working on restoring my mobility through my own exercise routine.

Well, Tues. night after staying up and online to do my "Walk On Weds.", I went to sleep late at midnight ... I have not had pain in that arm for a long time. Often when I lay there before falling asleep, I continue talking with Our Father and at that time, I recall asking, if it be His will that He restore my left arm's mobility and if not, I will believe that the time will come when I have 100% again because God has decided "not at that moment" yet in His moment, I will be healed. I count on Him hearing this and try to sleep comfortably now, resting in Him and this. So I fall asleep, and somewhere between 1 and 2, I roll over on that shoulder {which is not my usual side to sleep on} and I hear two cracks, have a little pain in that shoulder and wonder if I'm dreaming. It quickens my reaction to roll back the other way.

So I get up, drowsy, and lift my arms just to thank God {as I often do} and give Him praise, when I realize that my left arm is now able to raise up almost with the same ease as my right. I then check with some of the movements I have not been able to do, and I can. My arm can extend upward along my head much better and I compare to the ease of my right. Almost perfect - almost the same. I am so aMazed! I am witnessing a MIRACLE from God! I can't wait to see how it is in the morning and share excitedly to anyone who might listen {my dogs are the first} ... I wake up on September 23rd, recalling that this is one of those dates of the 33 happenings this September ... but it does not matter and I'm no longer concerned or consumed by this, because I want to give God glory and thanks and praise for honoring that I am Seeking Him more and He has decided to restore my left arm's mobility. Ahhh, but alas, I still cannot reach behind and to snap that 'do-hickey' that I've had to do in the front and twist around or better yet, the comfort of going without ... though it's pretty saggy that way, sometimes "a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do" and that woman thing can be forgotten for the hassle it causes me ... well, my left arm is unable to do it. So that's that ...

Does that mean that it really was no miracle at all?

I am still believing and giving testimony
    to closer to 100% mobility
    of my left arm
    all to God
    My Healer, My Restorer
the Lifter of my head (and arm) in this case

    I wake up content
really ready to dive into my Bible reading for the day
at You Version with my morning one
    "Prayers that will Transform You"

...because they do and they have and they are...

to this one for this day

    "Recipients of His Boundless Grace"

    I know I am

    and so are

    Believe it and Receive it

... Ephesians 2:8-9 (the reading for that day)

with this devotion by Ken Boa that follows

As God transforms us and sanctifies us to becoming more like Him, we begin to more clearly understand the transforming power of His boundless grace. Everything is about God and not us, yet God has chosen to make us the recipients of His boundless grace. Grace means undeserved favor. Grace is when we receive something we do not deserve. We do not deserve His love or His forgiveness yet He has given it to us by His grace through faith in His son. Beginning to understand that truth will transform us all. "

(then) This audible prayer time (linked above too) is an invitation for us both to stop for a moment and let the Spirit of God transform us as we consider the boundless incomprehensible gift of His grace.
    So let's do that today
as I spend my day offline
"let the Spirit of God transform us
    as we consider the boundless
    gift of His

It really is more than enough
    proverbs and pacifers

    Isn't that just too precious?

Give God glory and praise with me!!!

    Miracle Maker

He is so worthy to be praised!
    And I'm still believing for
    complete healing and restoration
    for my left arm

    Wednesday, September 23, 2015

    It's another
    "Walk On Weds."
not too different than last week
but no longer dwelling on all of those 33 things for September
{well, why don't you just come in awhile and we'll talk}\
    or more truthfully written
"why don't you come in awhile and I'll talk through my writing
as you're listening through your reading
somewhere our spirits will hopefully meet
    as you publish your comment

Open the gate and enter the
    Garden of GRACE
(which means you and I extend GRACE to each other :)
Plenty of it, to go around

    Although in this season
the entrance really does not look so pinkish or purplish in decor

    {I hope Denise does not mind but I borrowed a few of her sidebar images}

This makes me feel closer to Denise as we walk on this day

     we enter through the Gate
    to find that
the autumn trees bend and bow
to shelter us in the beauty of the Almighty
    (much like Psalm 91)

they are bending and bowing to Him
    the Most High God

we carefully cross over this bridge

to meet up with our other dear friends like

when I saw this tree at Denise's
I knew this was my destiny for my "Walk On Weds."

This big old, majestic oak tree
with a good ole tire swing

With lots of fun in the autumn sun
as we swing and allow our minds to
reminisce days gone by and the sweet friends
that God has brought into our lives: real and virtual
because they both count the same and
they both matter just as much
    in the impact they make
    in the love they share
    in the ways they care

Each one of us have had to cross many bridges to get to where we are

    some of them chosen

    some of them not

    we arrive

    on the other side

    with different outcomes and outlooks

    varied by the experience

I set out to find this

    share another daily site

    that has caught

my eye since last week's foreboding

I actually accidentally started a 3 day YV Bible reading plan

    "Waiting On God"

    this site provided the plan

    {Ok, I agree - there are no accidents with God}

Since then I daily go and listen to the prayer for the day
(not sure this will link you but ABIDE will for the current day)

It was there and then that I recalled another Bible plan I did elsewhere called

    {an acrostic, of course, for ...}

but I only completed the "A" for ABIDE and

that is exactly what I and my spirit need when I get like I was last Weds.

So, once again, I passed through the "A" part, deciding I may need

to start with the beginning and go through all of this once again to

{especially since I have been working ahead on my 31 days for October and half-way through I have found myself unable and somewhat uninspired to finish as I think ahead of "places" and such for my venture of 31 days; when really all that is on my mind is my trip home for a month in a couple of weeks, a whole month in the fall, which as I've mentioned is my favorite and I can never get enough of the glory of fall days} Yeah, you could say I'm soaring as I think of these days.

So, here is the link to SOAR because they now have a whole website. At the time I did ABIDE ... I went through Life Church's resources to do it and I really could not find it there anymore.

"To SOAR is to "to climb swiftly or powerfully." The power of God is available to you to overcome and live in freedom! SOAR is designed to create in you a longing to know our loving God. To know Him is to know the love and the power of the living God that can SOAR far above any mountain in your life.

    On my WALK this WEDS.

I have restarted on the path of

    with all my heart

(with Amy Groeschel and Sheri Yates)

    Key Verse:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Objective: To turn your burdens over to God and to seek to know and love Him with all your heart.

    {the stuff in green means its from their plan (pdf) and also when it's boxed}

"S" (Seek God) is 8 weeks long but here is the short video for
    Week 1

Each week has a video and 5 days of plan; readings, short devotion and activity
    like this for

    Day 1

“Day One - Read Deuteronomy 6:4-9 and Matthew 22:34-40

"We are going to evaluate where we are today, whether good, bad, ugly or great. Be real with your answers. Set a goal for where you want to be in one year. Remember, where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish…Proverbs 29:18a AMP.

Take some time to answer a few questions.

Based on the way you live your life today, (i.e., spend your time and money) how would you say that you are keeping the first and greatest commandment to love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength? Never/ Sometimes/ Many Times /Consistently /Always

On an average day, describe your relationship with God?

In the sentence below, underline where you are today and circle where you would like to be in one year.
Are you cold, lukewarm or hot? (Take a look at Revelation 3:15-16)

Which of these statements best describes your relationship with Christ?
    Losing momentum/ Flat /Growing slowly /Growing quickly/ Soaring

What do you think is the reason you answered the last question the way you did?
    Not seeking /
    Seeking minimally /
    Seeking consistently /
Clinging to Him for most /
    Clinging to Him for everything

Spend time today praying and thinking about your answers." SOAR

    Really good reflection questions, eh?

    And that's just Day One!!!
Day Two is a look at a couple of passages and reflecting
    Day Three is on "worry"
    Day Four asks
"What does seeking God look like in your life?"
Day Five read and meditate on Psalm 63 as our prayer

    then an extra part

    Go the extra mile.
Read Isaiah 40 and soar with God!
Read Psalm 42 and seek God’s help in your trials.

    Most definitely
this is a much better walk than last week's
well, my spirit is much more open to

    How about you and yours?
Care to share any of the boxed questions from Day 1

This "Walk" is/was as impromptu as I get
meaning written late on Tues. in time to publish Weds. 12 a.m.

    this day
    with me but
    more importantly
    with HIM as

    "Fly like an eagle"

    remember to read

    Psalms for today

    Our VERSE for
    is from
    Joshua 21:43-45

..."So the Lord gave Israel all the land He had sworn to give their ancestors, and they took possession of it and settled there.   44 The Lord gave them rest on every side, just as He had sworn to their ancestors. Not one of their enemies withstood them; the Lord gave all their enemies into their hands. 45 Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled."...

    "These are the Glory Days"
Max Lucado over at Faith Gateway

"Personalize that promise. Put your name in the blank.

"The Lord gave to __________ all the life He had sworn to give. And __________ took possession of it and dwelt in it. The Lord gave __________ rest all around and not an enemy stood. Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to __________. All came to pass."

This is God’s vision for your life. Imagine the thought. You at full throttle. You as you were intended. You as victor over the Jerichos and giants.

You and your Promised Land life.
It is yours for the taking. "~Max's Blog, "Your Promised Land Life"
