"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

My time and access to the internet from my home is somewhat limited & inoperable. So I'm quickly using a cyber place to catch up on emails 'cuz ya' know with 4, they add up quickly. I just want to let you all know that I can read most of your blogs, but when I go to post a comment, it tells me "webpage is not available" (now does that make any sense when I just was there reading it). I've given up trying! in complete [Frustration]

I needed to check emails because I received one from my sister telling me one of my favorite uncles had passed away & he would be having a full military funeral this Thursday. Of course, I can't be in USA from Mexico, I'd love to be there with my sweet favorite aunt(can't believe she's now 80) but my heart and prayers will be lifted for them all![Thanks for the photos Carrie!] [You know I find healing that way] I LOVE YOU all so very much! Kelly, I will treasure our time together, like in TJ when we sang "My Blue Spanish Eyes" together. You and Doris are the best!

I will miss you Kelly!!!
So I will be spending this computer down time in prayer for my dear aunt & her only remaining son. My earthly family is dwindling~very few uncles & aunts left, only my oldest sister & brother from my own family. But I have precious cousins & my family of God ... ... for which I am so thankful that includes each one of you...my new "sistas"!

I thank God for His aMazing family! I'm grateful for the body of Christ that encourages, edifies & comforts. Please don't forget me. I'm so sorry that I can't reciprocate right now, you know how I love visiting!!! I'm reading and praying & hope you sense my prayers or comments.

I'm sharing my daily e-votionals and pray that we'll be back in touch soon!

I only have time to switch these after checking my emails. I pray that they bless you! As I am DAILY IN HIS PRESENCE and thinking & reading from you! Keep me in prayer!

Day 276

"You will be called Repairer of Broken Walls." Isaiah 58:12

"My child, all My children suffer "breakdowns" in their walls at one time or another. Those gaps in your armor where sin has broken through, those tears in your heart that thoughtless actions ripped away, those tornadoes that whipped through your life without a warning--I've seen them all, My child. But I am the Repairer of Broken Walls--and that includes your heart. Renovation is My specialty. I'm always gentle but thorough. Give Me your heart daily. I'll do the rest."

"Just like the broken-down walls of Your beloved city Jerusalem, my life had been broken beyond repair. Yet You took the remains and mended the damage, restoring what was destroyed. You are the Repairer of Broken Walls, and be-cause of You, I now stand complete. Thank You, Jesus."

"Time alone never truly heals. Only the Father's touch can restore completely what was lost."

THANKS for FAMILY & memories of family times together

I'm especially GRATEFUL to ALL the PARTICIPANTS in MISSION 4 MONDAY for my first month of September trying to bring us all together in our missions through this meme. I so much enjoy the variety in the missions being shared. I thank God for each of YOU who shared your Mission or visited those who shared MISSION 4

"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."

HEAVENLY FATHER, I pray for my Aunt Doris, John & all Kelly's family. Be very close to each of them during this time of grief and mourning. Assure them that those who mourn will be comforted (Matt.5:4).Your Holy Spirit is the Comforter, and He has the power to turn Doris' and their mourning into dancing (Psalms 30:11).

Lord, give my Aunt Doris this kind of assurance and the peace that passes all understanding (Phil.4:7). Help people to be a source of comfort to her during this difficult time. Blessed be Your Holy Name, Father. You are the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. Bring Your comfort to Doris through Your Holy Spirit. To everything there is a season, as Your Word points out in Ecclesiastes. Help Doris to see & know that You are working Your purposes out in her life. Impart HOPE to Doris during her time of sorrow. Let her mourning be turned into joy as she realizes that You care for her and have provided for her & her loved ones, to the end that Kelly's glory will sing praise to You.

Lord Jesus, help Doris to see Your power and experience Your love. Replace any empty or negative feelings for her many losses in this life with the full knowledge of Your everlasting consolation and good hope through Grace alone and Our Lord Jesus' sacrifice for us. His mercies are new every morning. May she find strength to carry on and the grace and hope to run the good race til You call her home to an eternal place with You! May she know You as she has never known You before! May many blessings enable her to find comfort and peace in her own heart. There is great comfort Lord in knowing that one day You will descend from heaven with a shout that the dead in Christ will arise first; then we who are alive shall be caught up together with them (1Thes.4:13-18) if we confess You as Lord & Savior & believe in You with all of our heart, we shall be with You for all eternity. May You let Your perpetual light shine upon Kelly and grant him mercies for his entrance to his eternal life with You! May he rest in peace! May all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace! O Lord my God, I trust You & give You thanks for all that You are doing & yet to do! Wrap my dear Aunt Doris with Your loving arms and hold her ever so gently but firmly, so she will know it is You & Your love that enables her to go on, one day at a time. Cast all her burdens on Your shoulders and take her daily through the valleys of loneliness, filling her life instead with the joy of salvation and knowing You much closer and more intimately as her merciful & loving Lord! I bow to Your throne of grace and ask You to extend Your Love through those around my Aunt Doris to give her the strength, grace, mercies, comfort and joy of knowing You more!

It's German Chocolate~your favorite, at least that's what Mom use to make for you
I can't believe that it's been 10 years! You would be 99 years old today!
But in heaven, you don't get any older ~ right, Mom?
or you can check out what Pastor Greg Laurie says about Heaven if you click here.

SO WHICH ONE DO YOU THINK I LOOK LIKE? [See the following post to find out]

For most of my life, I thought that I looked like my father, but after my mom left this earth for her heavenly place, my oldest sister, my father and I talked about this and they both told me that I look like my mother. That was indeed a compliment, if you saw my mom when she was young before she was so sick and then looked at my graduation photo, you could see it. At the very bottom of my blog, I did a Celebrity Look Alike from Heritage Tree! My dad would like who I look like...I think my husband would also. But see the post below for who I resemble.
I guess I just have many of my father's traits. But much like Amy Grant, I want to have my Father's Eyes...My Heavenly Father, who has eyes of compassion..."eyes that find the good in things, when good just can't be found..." just listen:

DAD, I pray as you look at me now, you see more of me and the good in me. Thank you, for the letter that you left in your Bible for all of us. I hope that today you feel the peace and love from my heart. I've shared with you many times and asked for your forgiveness before you left and that's what you wrote for me in your letter. I hold on to that letter to know that you loved me enough to forgive me for rebelling and disappointing you. I know that you always tried the best for us. But you worked so much and so hard to give us so much that you forgot to spend time with us! We knew many of your life stories but some of the most important ones you hid. I will always remember your giving heart, especially at Christmas! I will always remember your sacrifices in your life and how hard you worked. I will never forget how you never left for work without kissing my mother good-bye. I have many memories I treasure & some I'd like erased. Thank you Dad! Happy Birthday! With all my love~your youngest daughter, Peg or like you would say when mad "Margaret Mary"

Look at my devotional from Women of Faith for today:

Be Who You Are

There is no one else in the whole wide world like you. I'm sure you have heard that before, but I wonder if you understand how true it is and how precious you are to God. We are not always treasured on this earth. Our relationships with our parents or friends or spouses can lead us to believe that we may be unique, but that it's not a good thing. So often we are encouraged to blend in, don't rock the boat, don't be different, but I say, rock that boat, and be who you are. . . . When you hold back who you really are, we all miss out. So whether you are a pet nut like me or a wordsmith like Patsy Clairmont, whether you like high heels or flip-flops, be who you really are. You have a voice and a style that is all your own. It has been given to you by God so that through you, a unique picture of our Father is seen. FIREPROOF opens September 26, 2008 in theaters across the country.
Welcome to FIREPROOF, an action-packed love story that will have audiences laughing, crying, and on the edge of their seats as they are drawn into the world of a firefighter, his wife ... and a marriage worth rescuing. FIREPROOF is the third movie from Sherwood Pictures, the hope-filled, heartfelt moviemaking ministry of Sherwood Baptist Church that continues to touch the world from Albany, Georgia 1st video is 11 minutes Here are 3 reviews: The first is by Anita Crane, she shares: "Most Hollywood movies disappoint us with anti-heroes, but Kirk Cameron comes to the rescue in Fireproof: Never Leave Your Partner Behind, a Provident Films/Sony BMG release due in American movie theaters on September 26. In Fireproof, Cameron stars as Captain Caleb Holt, a brave firefighter who saves strangers from peril. Nevertheless, after Caleb nearly dies while rescuing a child, he says, “The newspaper called me twice wanting an interview. Seems I’m a hero with everybody in the world, except my wife.” Fireproof is the third feature film written by brothers Alex and Stephen Kendrick of Sherwood Pictures in Albany, Georgia – a project of Sherwood Baptist Church where they are pastors, producers and directors. Their last film, Facing the Giants, was panned by some critics, but popular among Christians. Fireproof has a few moments characteristic of low-budget independent films, but it should duly impress everyone. After all, it’s got gripping action, adventure, love and comedy. Stephen Kendrick said, “We’re not going to Hollywood trying to win an Academy award. We are in the trenches, working with couples on a day-to-day basis.” So, instead of the usual fiction where boy-meets-girl, they sleep together, quarrel and somehow end up together, Kendrick said, “We decided that we wanted to take the audience on a journey of what’s really going on in marriages right now.” Even though it’s made by Baptist preachers, Fireproof isn’t preachy. Kirk Cameron said, “This isn’t a movie for Christians or any particular group of people. In fact, the main character Caleb Holt… is an average guy [in the sense that he] couldn’t care less about the things of God.”
[to read more about the film by this reviewer go here] ************************************* For another perspective, you can read this review here by Tim Rogers of SBC ***************************************************

Alex further expressed how thrilled he and his brother have been at the grass-roots response from all across the nation.

“We're just praying God uses it,” he added.

“We would love it if the divorce rate went down as a result of all that's going on. We found out that every percentage point it goes down, it impacts a million children. That's just huge for the future of our country, that we strengthen those foundational relationships in the home,” he concluded.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease and Control, the marriage rate in 2005 was 7.5 per 1,000 total population while the divorce rate was 3.6 per 1,000 population. And, more recently, a poll by Gallup’s 2008 Values and Beliefs survey earlier this year found that an alarming 70 percent of Americans now believe that divorce is “morally acceptable.” The latest figure – the highest on record – represents an 11 percent increase from just 7 years ago and a 3 percent increase from 2 years ago.
[*For this full review by Josh Kimball of the Christian Post go here] ************************************************************ INDEED, if FIREPROOF can CHANGE marriages and divorces, ~relationships~ starting with having one with Jesus Christ, perhaps then we will see a nation changed back to be more concerned about family and family values with GOD as the head the center "...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

Be sure to check out Fearfully Fabulous Friday with Jill at Forever n Ever n Always
Enjoy your T.G.I.F. with this special movie as a date! Today God Is First GOD IS FABULOUS, so I'm sure you won't be disappointed! I have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday (movie discount days) and I have not seen the title in Spanish "INCOMBUSTIBLE" who knows~ but I'm looking for it! I pray also that God uses FIREPROOF!

I am thankful for IRIS...Lord! Bless her and each year of her life as she celebrates You! May each year reflect more of Your glory, riches and favor upon her life! I dedicate this song to IRIS! [and it's not Happy Birthday]

Thank You Lord that YOUR GRACE IS ENOUGH! A HAPPY BIRTHDAY to YOU! A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR MAY YOU FIND JESUS NEAR! A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! THE BEST YOU'VE EVER HAD! IRIS MAY YOUR BIRTHDAY THIS SATURDAY BE FILLED WITH JESUS AND ALL THAT HE HAS FOR YOU! We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” ~ Romans 6:4 (ESV ~ emphasis IRIS)
Please join all of us in wishing IRIS a happy birthday at Sting My Heart this Thankful Thursday!
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name
~ Psalm 100:4 (NIV)

Thank You Lord that You never change!

~YOU ARE THE SAME TODAY, TOMORROW AND ALWAYS! Great is Your faithfulness Great is Your faithfulnessYou never change You never fail, O God True are Your promises True are Your promises You never change You never fail, O God So we raise up holy hands To praise the Holy One was and is and is to come Wide is Your love and grace Wide is Your love and grace You never change You never fail, O God You were, You are You will always be *From the album NOT TO US* Chris Tomlin
I have to make some additional CHANGES since I'm not feeling well, I did not personalize
my thankfulness or thoughts on CHANGE
but I knew I wanted to add some meaningful quotes:
"Change your thoughts and you change your world." - Norman Vincent Peale
"We all have big changes in our lives that are more or less a second chance." - Harrison Ford
"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me." - Carol Burnett
"There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered." - Nelson Mandela
"To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable" - Helen Keller
"There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction" - Winston Churchill
I asked God for strength that I might achieve.
I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health that I might do greater things.
I was given infirmity that I might do better things.
I asked for riches that I might be happy. I was given poverty that I might be wise.
I asked for power that I might have the praise of men.
I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. I was given life that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing that I asked for, but everything I hoped for.
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am, among all women, most richly blessed.”
I thank my Lord for the changes in my life that only HE has seen me through as HE changes me!
I thank Jesus for changing my heart. I thank Jesus for being in my heart and pouring His love
by His Spirit to others.
I thank the Lord for answered prayers and changes He brings through prayer!

INDESCRIBABLE ! ~ Chris Tomlin
Only once did I cross these mountains in Mexico from Durango to Mazatlan and never again!
However, I must admit that the view is spectacular and with this crossing being 9 long hours for pokey and ever cautious me~ winding way up, only to wind down again...it indeed was INDESCRIBABLE!
When my fear & tight grip of the stirring wheel had really made me weary and I was actually in the clouds, praying to God to just help me get to the other side, I saw the SON...through the sun shining through the clouds and the rain producing this: " I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth." Genesis 9:13 Not over the seas like this photo but up there in the clouds and the mountaintops...His rainbow. I have a recorded image of His RAINBOW but it's on my old fashioned video camera. My memory & my heart will never forget how God reminded me of HIS PROMISE and how "Jesus took the wheel"... His covenant..."He will never leave me or forsake me.." and He has shown me this over and over again. I Praise HIS NAME & HIM daily for the rainbows & the Light He shines in my life! He is so good! Beth Moore says, "God never forgets His promises. In turn, He intends for His children never to forget His faithfulness to fulfill them." ******************************************************************** Are you enjoying a mountaintop experience with Our Lord or are you walking through the valleys with Him by your side? Are you having a wilderness or a desert experience or are you enjoying His Living Water & bursting forth with springs of His joy, peace, faithfulness & everlasting life? May the JOY of the Lord be Your strength, wherever you are and whatever your need may be...may you see HIS rainbow shining through these"storms" and drawing you into HIS LIGHT!
From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea Creation's revealing Your majesty From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring Every creature unique in the song that it sings All exclaiming Indescribable, uncontainable, You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name. You are amazing God All powerful, untamable, Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim You are amazing God Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night None can fathom Indescribable, uncontainable, You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name You are amazing God All powerful, untamable, Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim You are amazing God You are amazing God Indescribable, uncontainable, You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name. You are amazing God All powerful, untamable, Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim You are amazing God Indescribable, uncontainable, You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name. You are amazing God INCOMPRABLE, unchangeable You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same You are amazing God You are amazing God !

I guess without realizing it, this has turned into Chris Tomlin week!
Although I'm a little late because he launched his new release on September 2nd, I still would like to honor Chris Tomlin and HELLO LOVE. And in case, you did not know, Chris has a great limited time offer on HELLO LOVE and it's almost up...Only one week left! "i want to make sure you know about the tour tickets that are available when you purchase the cd in a store or online. i wanted to give anyone the opportunity to have the best seats in the house. and you do with this access... these are presale tickets only and can only be accessed with the purchase of HELLO LOVE..it's only for a limited time...through Sept 30 " For more info, you can go to his website CHRISTOMLIN.com and then his blog or any of the band members. If you do not know Chris Tomlin or much about him, Wikipedia tells us here. To hear songs from "Hello Love", background and more visit Chris Tomlin's MySpace also: http://www.myspace.com/christomlin From Chris' blog, where he announces and thanks his fans for helping "Hello Love" make it to the top ten billboard in its first week out..."I will rise" seems to be the one that is touching the most. CCM magazine.com covers the Story Behind the song and the lyrics here. Also there is a 3 min. YouTube video from christomlinmusic with Chris Tomlin sharing about this song. Here's what Chris says about this song at his myspace:

“‘I Will Rise’ is special in that [sixstepsrecords/Passion Conferences founder] Louie [Giglio] challenged me to write a song that people can sing in the midst of grief, standing at one of the hardest places of their life.

A song of worship people can sing at funerals of those who believe,” Tomlin continues. “We wanted a song that gives hope in the midst of the grave, of death. Through Jesus, the grave is overwhelmed and death doesn’t have any more power. It hurts, but in the end, there’s victory for those who are in Christ.”

The Passion Tour 2008 is going to be in Mexico City on October 3rd & 4th and I would love to go to it for my birthday, it's at least an 18 hour drive. But guess what, it's SOLD OUT! I was hoping that I could go and surprise a friend that is suppose to go there to serve in Mexico City in October if all works out for her...you can read more about it in MISSION4MONDAY...but please pray for her and her decision to go or not at this time.(she's #4 but you might as well read them all). Anyways, my point about Passion Tour 2008 and HELLO LOVE Tour 2009 and the release of this CD, is not to promote Chris Tomlin (though he certainly deserves all the Awards and nominations he receives and I LOVE HIS MUSIC). He does not need me or my promotion, the new release is doing quite well...BUT...
I am honoring Chris Tomlin and what I will call HIS MISSION...
I would like to have linked HIM up for Mission4Monday :)
ONE MILLION CAN do something now "on our own we can each make a difference in the world but collectively we are a force for good..." to read more go to http://www.onemillioncan.com/ Check out the causes and see just what one million can do TO LOVE THE WORLD: Clean water for AFRICAN VILLAGES Freedom and a Future for sex slaves in INDIA Sustainable Villages for Uganda Refugees Words of Life Bibles for People in SE Asia Life altering surgeries for Children in Central America Hope and Homes for former child soldiers in Uganda Broadcast Truth Recorded Scriptures for African/Arabic people
Small sacrifices from each of us, added all together can make a huge difference in the lives of people around the globe. If you go to this site there is information on each cause and what your giving will change or affect plus a video called OUR STORY! GIVE!
Many of us have seen the PASSION OF CHRIST and I'm not sure why the tour chose the title PASSION TOUR, but how much PASSION for Christ are you showing to the children or people that do not have what we have? Where is your PASSION? What is your passion? Is Christ's passion shining into the world thru YOU?
Matthew 25:31-46 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, ... "Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'...

And the last words again from Chris Tomlin's new song "I WILL RISE"

"There’s a day that’s drawing near

When this darkness breaks to light

And the shadows disappear

And my faith shall be my eyes

And I hear the voice of many angels sing, “worthy is the Lamb

And I hear the cry of every longing heart, “worthy is the Lamb”"

In case you haven't heard, there's a new Monday meme since the beginning of August called: MONDAY MORNING REFLECTIONS over at ForevernEvernAlways1.blogspot.com I've been intending to join Monday Morning Reflections, but I guess at the same time, God was speaking to me, when He spoke to Jill...about doing something on Monday just for Him. I developed Mission4Monday about the same time as a result of this, but I had planned on doing this since I started to blog...speak about missions & what God lays on my heart for Missions. However, I really like the two memes that Forever n Ever n Always hosts each week:
Please go and read what Jill is sharing today on "Being Faithful" and a great book she is reading and sharing parts that are impacting her,
The Holiest of All by Andrew Murray.
I truly wanted to share this morning and was hoping that God would reveal something specifically on "being faithful" for me or having "faith" versus "feelings", which is something I have been dealing with and so I began reading HIS WORD, in the chapter known for great heroes of FAITH.
HEBREWS 11 This chapter of Hebrews gives us many examples of faith in people from the Bible, but guess what? None of this was speaking to me, except this one verse.
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." verse 6 (NIV)
Now this is an entirely different direction than I had in mind...since I'm a People Pleaser from my past recently changed to a God Pleaser. (See Cardboard Testimony)
So, I kept reading and this is what I will share today: 2 songs and Psalm 136 that kept coming to my mind. Hopefully, by next Monday I will have something substantial as I was hoping to share.
Perhaps it has to do with me not "feeling" well. But Faith is not based on Feeling!(or is it?)
GOD IS FAITHFUL (song by Vicki Yohe below)
In My Moments of Fear, Through every Pain, every Tear,
There's a God who's been Faithful to Me.
When My Strength was all Gone, When My Heart had NO Song, Still in Love, He's Proved Faithful to Me. Every Word He's Promised is True; What I thought was Impossible, I See God Do. He's been Faithful to Me. Looking back His Love and Mercy, I see, Though in My heart I have Questioned, Even Failed to Believe, Yet He's Been Faithful to Me. When My Heart Looked away, The many Times I could Not Pray, Still My God, He was Faithful to Me. The Days I spent so Selfishly, Reaching out for what Pleased Me; Even then God was Faithful to Me. Every Time I come back to Him, HE IS WAITING WITH OPEN ARMS, And I see once Again, He's Been Faithful to Me. Author: Unknown
[Side note:The above song is the 1st video below, which was a song we sang in my MN home church for a Christmas musical, a Christian version of "It's a Wonderful Life". I was the original Ma Bailey...when we first started, but many Ma Baileys have performed since I played that role. This song was sung by Mary Bailey (with the choir, the rest of the cast as background). For some reason, the words of this song speak to me & have stayed with me since we sang it in the 90s.
