ISAIAH 61 says:
"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair."

"The ability to forgive quickly is a very powerful way to show how Christianity really works. Become a model of forgiveness. Nothing creates division, hostility, and turmoil more than an unwillingness to forgive the people who hurt you. Of course, there will be times when you are absolutely right. But being right doesn't give you a free pass to punish, humiliate, or embarrass someone else. And it most certainly doesn't eliminate your responsibility to forgive." ~ Karen Wolff

Lord, You are God of heaven and earth, and Lord of all the nations. Every person, and every family owes their well-being to You, and You alone are the source of all blessings.
I want to see my neighborhood be blessed Lord, and I know that You work Your blessings through the family. my neighborhood is just a bunch of families trying to live together in harmony and prosperity.
I’m asking for a special blessing on the families today Lord. Send forth a decree over my neighbohood that today would be a family day. Send a wind of peace and harmony Lord, over the families. Let this be a day of renewed relationships, and gratitude for family members. Strengthen the foundation of these families Lord as a channel of Your blessings for my neighborhood. In Jesus name...

"Ricky Martin Fights Human Trafficking at Clinton Summit"New York, NY – When Ricky Martin took the stage at the Clinton Global Initiative on Thursday, he did not sing, or dance, or even flash his trademark grin. Following the same stage directions as dozens of other celebrities who dropped by Clinton's 5th annual global summit, from Brad Pitt to Bono to Jessica Alba, Martin struck a somber note while discussing the fight against human trafficking. "I feel that my heart is going to come out of my mouth," he said, recounting his sadness for the "millions of children that didn't make it." Martin was followed by testimony from a woman who, along with her two children, was kidnapped and held for four years of forced labor. Then Luis CdeBaca, a former counsel to Rep. John Conyers who now serves as President Obama's chief diplomat for combating human trafficking, explained that between 12 and 27 million people are enslaved around the world today. In its official materials, The Clinton Global Initiative notes that the higher estimates mean there are more people enslaved "than at any other time in human history," though that's the kind of factoid that says more about population growth than the scope of the problem. But the numbers are daunting by any measure. And the policy experts who huddled on Thursday stressed that many obvious measures to combat trafficking are simply not being applied. About 90 percent of countries do not have dedicated police units for investigating trafficking, according to Clinton's organization, and many governments simply look the other way. Only one out of three governments around the world provide basics like emergency phone lines for children and families who do not know where to turn when faced with a kidnapping. While just about everyone is against slavery, on Thursday several panelists advocated a "different kind of capitalism" to punish companies that support forced labor at any point in their supply chain. Some American companies have agreed to boycott suppliers that use forced labor, as the International Labor Rights Forum's Tim Newman has documented, but not all. (He credits Wal-Mart, Target, Levi's, Gap, and H&M for boycotting Uzbek cotton produced through forced labor, for example, while Fruit of the Loom did not.) President Clinton personally highlighted the fight against human trafficking by giving a "2009 Global Citizen Award" to Ruchira Gupta, who made the Emmy-award winning 1997 documentary Selling of Innocents. She went on to create an organization that combats sex trafficking with education and preventive programs in India.
WE CANNOT BLIND OUR EYES ANY LONGER TO THIS, IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS CHRISTIANS TO TAKE A STAND AGAINST CRIMES that VICTIMIZE THE INNOCENT
Since 2006, The Salvation Army and the Initiative Against Sexual Trafficking (IAST) has sponsored an International Weekend of Prayer and Fasting for the Victims of Sex Trafficking. In 2009, the Faith Alliance Against Slavery and Trafficking (FAAST) joined as co-sponsor of this annual event.
The Salvation Army, IAST and FAAST sponsor this event first because we ardently believe that success in the battle against trafficking comes "not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit" (Zechariah 4:6). We understand that in this battle we wrestle "against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12).

Without my faith in God and His control, I would not want to come to work on some days because the fight would appear hopeless. But I know He is in control, that His hand guides anti-trafficking efforts, and that one day He will deliver justice for all of the victims. But until that day comes, I encourage you to join me in prayer.
Pray for the victims. Pray that they will have a hedge of protection around them. Pray that they will have one less client to service that hour or day. Pray that they will be spared a beating or a rape. Pray that they feel God’s love and presence and that they feel hope. Pray that their rescue is imminent. Pray that they will be freed and their lives will be restored, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Pray for President, the band of senators and representatives, and for non-governmental organizations working to abolish slavery.Pray that they will continue to fight the good fight. Pray that they will have the resources to continue the fight. Pray that they will be successful in their efforts and in getting their message out to every person in every nation. Pray that they will influence governments to do what is right and to punish traffickers and johns.
Pray for the State Department’s Trafficking in Persons’ office. Pray that the staff will be encouraged to continue their hard work compiling information about trafficking problems and efforts to eradicate it in nations around the globe. Pray that their efforts to hold these nations accountable will bear fruit.
Pray for those who use slaves, be it sexual or labor. Pray that they will be caught and convicted of their crime. Pray that they will acknowledge their sin and repent. Pray that they will turn their desires from evil and toward good. That instead of benefiting from the enslavement of another human being, they would rescue and restore the enslaved.
Pray for the pimps and the traffickers. Pray that they will be convicted of their crimes, punished and held accountable. Pray that they will be convicted in their heart and soul of their sin, and repent. Pray that they would use their knowledge of the trafficking trade to expose it and destroy it. Pray that they would use their ill-gotten gain to make restitution to the people they enslaved.
