As I glance over these PROMISES for August, in advance, and special days are significant for me in August, I can't help but look forward to the final one for August 31st, read the devotional & see what beautiful image is used by 365promises from Barry Adams. His gift of photography & writing from the Father's heart has blessed me for many years, since I first encountered this website while in Mexico.

I'm sorry for the delay of a week in posting this. {I'm doing this on August 8th but scheduling back on the date I had hoped to share these on August 1st.} Once again, issues with Blogger and changes now on new interface when I just want to remain with the old one, the one I have and that I'm able to use without added frustration, because I am accustomed to it finally. So of course, they want us all to change to their new Blogger interface, which according to their notice on our blogger dashboard ... will become the default for all users. Since, my blog posts already have been less, this change may cause me to finally 'hang it up' as so many of my blogger friends have done.

This saddens me greatly because my hope in this old age was that I might still encourage or inspire by what I share and I still wanted to aspire to writing more of my story through His story in my life, writing from my heart, maybe developing into an actual writer/author some day. Years ago, I thought that might be my direction; and as an elementary teacher, I was leaning toward thinking I'd write children's book(s)... but that had changed. Perhaps I don't have the gift to write however I do enjoy writing blogs and the platform opportunity that Blogger (WordPress, or others) make available to all of us, to publish our thoughts, our stories, and write just about anything as it flows or comes to us, yet for me, here on this blog, that has become sharing about Jesus, my passion and my mission.

On August 1st (one of those significant days), I watched as the "heavens declared His glory" that day and "revealed His handiwork" in a trip made to western Minnesota, as the clouds broke forth with a downpour, very briefly ... and upon our return, all of the deer family were waiting out back. It's always such a confirmation to me when God delights my heart with their appearance just at the right time or other small things, in nature or my daily life reminding me 'in everything' to give thanks to Him. The photos from this day are in my iPhone, which isn't helpful when I have to use the main computer to blog ... so you'll have to just imagine two young fawns and two other deer and God, in the rain. Rainbows of His Promise(s) and His Whispers of such aMazing Grace & Love!

{sorry, COVID 19 made me forget to post these each week  or at least like this - monthly ...  since March so I'm updating finally in July}
March 2020 April 2020 May 2020 June 2020 So now that I have shared all these missed months of PROMISES, I hope that I won't forget the rest of the months left in 2020. As I collected and composed these posts from March - July, I read the many Promises, recalling frequently the promise and the scripture again, and appreciating 365promises with their beautiful images, as I compile all these PROMISES, beginning to rely on God's Promises and applying them in my life more and more. For example, July 15th was a difficult day this year, but reading Nehemiah 8:10 and making the Promise mine for that day definitely helped me through the day. Hearing God say: "Do not be sad, for My joy is your strength." reminds me that God is with me, pouring His joy in and through me, restoring & giving me strength! I love how there are so many PROMISES in God's Word that I have read but truthfully not seen as a "promise" whereas with my books as resources, I am learning why it's said that there are over 30,000 promises. With 365 promises, I will have 365 promises from this site, plus I have two other books with a year's worth of promises (1 in Kindle, 1 in print; but of course, there is duplication between these 3 sources). I am so thankful for each and every PROMISE, loving that somehow God gave me this as my 2020 WORD for a reason. Now, to continue in His Promises & praying His Promises with expectation and belief that these are mine(yours) in Christ Jesus!

Forgive me for not sharing these PROMISES each month, then all at once. It took me long enough to finally continue posting. And I hope you have clicked over to 365promises, in case I fail again. I've noticed that Blogger is going through yet another change ... so if my posts no longer appear, it's because I'm too old to learn new stuff. Here's some of the new notification ...

There is a suggestion or option to try it out, which I did but immediately returned to what I'm use to ... creature of habit.
