"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ from ISAIAH 61 Bible verse for this Blog

Welcome to the "MISSION 4 MONDAY" information

Matthew 28:19 19
"...Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, ..." NIV

The purpose of MISSION 4 MONDAY is to share YOUR MISSION each week.
According to Rick Warren* in his book
"The Purpose Driven Life"...

"You were made for a Mission" is Purpose #5

"God is at work in the world and He wants YOU to join Him."

"The assignment is called YOUR MISSION..."

"Your ministry is your service to believers and
YOUR MISSION is your service to unbelievers."

"God has given you a Life Message to share..."

It can be your personal mission to accomplish that week: long term or short term. It can be a MISSION country that you would like to share about and pray specifically. It can be a MISSION that means something special to you that you'd like to do. It can be a MISSION short term or long term experience, in your community or somewhere else in the world. You can focus on a different missionary from your church or that you support. It can be a MISSION interest or concern that means a great deal to you and why it does. It can be the MISSION of the ministry of your blog: what you hope to accomplish and what is being accomplished...as a tool of self evaluation.

Click here for definition of MISSION by Merriam-Webster if this still does not seem clear.

Focus on what you would like to do for the Great Commission or what people group is your focus YOU decide what you would like to write about as your MISSION...

PHOTOS, GRAPHICS, just stay with the MISSION theme. COME BACK here on Monday AND LINK up with Mr. Linky simple add your name and the specific MISSION post (if you can't think of a mission use mine and write what you or your church are doing)

If that doesn't work, [CODE IS NOT WORKING I've been told] so you can try the next step, which I believe is the easiest way:
Right click on the image, save the photo and then just add it as a photo and link it to http://mazmagi.blogspot.com/. It's not important to me if the button is linked it's just a way to easily identify the post to MISSION 4 MONDAY meme and so they can see others.

Let me know if there are any problems(not that I know how to fix it but I'll at least try or ask) or if you have any questions, just leave it in the Comments. See you on Monday!

JOIN & READ what Others share

Kim has given us a great topic at the Cafe:

"The catch phrase “It’s not about me” has become quite popular in our current world today. What does that phrase mean to you in your personal life? Explain. Two great authors have written on this exact catch phrase:
1)Rick Warren in The Purpose Driven Life (2002)
2) Max Lucado in It's Not About Me(2004)

To say what it means to me in my personal life would seem insignificant in comparison to their books and each of us, would have to say..."IT'S ABOUT HIM"... it's about God, the Father, JESUS CHRIST and the Holy Spirit, hopefully living in me, more being reflected in what I do daily...my new Monday meme, will better reflect what it is for me each day... LIVING FOR HIM...my mission and life message.
[Please take the time to read my information on my new Monday Meme ... MISSION 4 MONDAY here and you'll understand why]

Reflect on this: Our WORDS may say this but what about OUR ACTIONS daily...what about OUR HEARTS ...what about OUR PRAYERS...are they really centered on HIM...or are our prayers FOR OTHERS...or are our prayers about US only?

Colossians 1:16 the Message says" For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible...everything got started in Him and finds its PURPOSE in HIM!"

Update: I've been a Blog Award Free and Tag Free since 2010 when I read and agreed with Upside Down Blogging and Blogger's Prayer. To God be all the glory! It is so much better to give than receive but both bring BLESSINGS! I am humbled and honored to receive and joyfully give to others as it is encouraging and edifies the body of Christ! It reminds me of this song from long ago...

It only takes a spark to get a fire going.
And soon all those around,
can warm up in glowing.
That's how it is with God's love,
Once you've experienced it, you spread His love to everyone;
You want to pass it on.
What a wondrous time is spring,
when all the trees are budding;
The birds begin to sing,
the flowers start their blooming.
That's how it is with God's love;
Once you've experienced it,
you want to sing "It's fresh like spring";
you want to pass it on.
I wish for you my friend, this happiness that I've found.
You can depend on Him, it matters not where you're bound.
I'll shout it from the mountain top -
PRAISE GOD I want the world to know;
the Lord of love has come to me, I want to pass it on.

Though it's been 18 years in November, since you left me here and went home to be with the Lord, I can't help but still miss you a great deal! I thought it may help to write you this letter to let you know how much I love you and have needed you here to share like we use to do! I can hardly believe that it's been this long because it seems like yesterday! I don't have any photo of you in my computer but I have some from the last Christmas we shared at our sister Carol's home. However, this is not how you looked your last days!

You looked so peaceful as you laid there in a coma! I shared all your favorite music with you that week and read the Word to you! I know that your spirit received all that I was sharing! I will never forget the last visit from Renee that day, the radiance of joy on her face as she spoke to you about being in heaven and holding her baby daughter and giving her a hug from her and her daddy. She was such a special friend to you and that's why she chose you as her baby's godparent! As you listened to her talk, you seemed to be smiling. She asked me about an angel pin that she had sent you with a recent card, so we looked for it in your mail. She wanted you to put it on as a reminder. It was my privilege to attach that angel as I told you that I was giving you this "angel" to accompany your spirit into heaven and in that moment, you took a deep breath as I grabbed dad's hand and placed it in yours, I saw your spirit leave and rejoiced with tears and much heartache. I will always treasure those moments with you and having grown up with you as my baby brother. I can hardly wait to see you again with mom & dad!

I have thought of you often and your mission trip to Haiti. They are in the path of many hurricanes and tropical storms these last few years. I wish I had your pictures with me! I think of those smiling children from Haiti and Jamaica often from your trips there. I hope many know Jesus because of the love of Jesus that you shared. I'm praying for them!

I cannot believe how old you would be today! 48 WOW! How the years have gone by, but not the pain...it saddens me that you were robbed of living all these years but I am filled with the HOPE and COMFORT that you are in a much better place! I'm sure celebrations of your earthly birth are nothing compared to your heavenly celebrations!

I found this beautiful graphic of heaven by David B. Holeman
and a poem by David M. Romano, but did not want to mess with copyright
so please read this at: http://www.angelrays.com/plain/heaven.html

"When Tomorrow Starts without Me"

This HEAVENLY poem certainly touches my heart!
It is as if YOU, Gary were speaking to me today to encourage my heavy spirit!

So after reading this today, I know that you and I, Gary are not that far apart because I often think of you and know you are in my heart! These words give me great hope!

"Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven." Matthew 5:12a

"In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16a

"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Matthew 16:19

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. " John 14:1-3

"There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another ..." 1 Corinthians 15:40

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ." Philippians 3:20

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away ..." Revelations 21:1-4

IN ALL OF THIS, I FIND MY HOPE in CHRIST JESUS, the author and finisher of my FAITH!

My eyes are fixed on Jesus!

"Heaven is a wonderful place
Filled with Glory and Grace
I want to see My Savior's Face
'Cuz Heaven is a Wonderful Place"
(i wanna go there)
[words from a kid's song my kids sang
when my mom was dying in '86]

Hi - Hola All You DOT Dog Lovers~

My name is Chiminito. My mom is Mazmagi, better known as "Peggy". I'm a Chihuahua/ Bull Terrier mix. Some say that I look like a Jack Russel. But there's no Jack in me! Oh, that's not entirely true, I jump or leap like a jack rabbit. I understand English and Spanish! Aye Caramba

Anyways, I was born in 2003. My mom says I'm a miracle baby. I shouldn't have lived. But I did! I'm here and in great health - thanks to my mom! My real mom died and so did my sister! My mom lived on a roof top and no one really took care of her. We were all infested with all kinds of parasites: fleas, ticks "garapatas"...some very small and some very venemous! My body was filled with them. That is until this mom saw me and tended to me! I even had one in my ear that she got out!

Ouch! I still fight her when she's taking them off me, even though I wear a collar and do all the right things. It just can't be escaped here in Mexico. [They say "that's life in Mexico for a dog" or pet. I tell them not in my house.]

Well, my mom cleaned me up, dipped me, cleaned me again, but the day I remember her most was when she sat with me on a curb, at my first owner's house, Lizbeth. She was just a little girl back then. Lizbeth loved my dad, I've watched them running on videos.

I had been crying night after night because of the little critters all over me. No one even knew how bad! But my mom did. One by one she picked those little buggers off of me, even the microscopic ones. Then she dipped and bathed me until I was well. She took me to her place to take better care of me. Lizbeth came and visited and stayed once in awhile. Lizbeth loved me so much that she let me stay with my new mom, so I could get well and stay well. I love Lizbeth!

My dad's name was Chimino. I'm named after him. I'm a little piece of Chimino...the -ito in my name is endearing and means little one. I saw those videos of my dad but we don't have any photos. My dad ate something bad and died too! But that's how I ended up with my mom and Bravo.(You'll met him last time). He became my BIG BROTHER! Kinda surrogate dad. We use to play together, but he's gotten too old now...so I play with my daughters. You'll meet them another time.

Years have past, and I have lots of tales to tell but the greatest was 2 years ago when I became the proud father of 6: 5 girls and 1 son. Now, I shouldn't have done that so that's why my mom took me to the vet so it never happens again. Just like Bravo!(the mother had to go, too). But now we live together with 2 of our daughters. One lives in Minnesota. 3 found new homes but sadly 2 of them died; my only son was one of them. I guess that's why my mom kept the others.

That reminds me, I have to tell this GREAT tale of when I was so tiny and my mom left me alone with Bravo! This is why she says I'm a miracle too!

Our home was on the second floor and she thought I was safe on the patio. She had it pretty well blocked off. But curiosity got the best of me. I had to go snooping around, looking for where she went. She hardly ever leaves me alone, so she couldn't have gone too far. Well, I found this tube, I thought I'd check it out. (Mom says it wasn't a tube and it wasn't where I should have gone, it was a rain gutter).

When she came home, I heard her and started crying. She was looking everywhere for me, upstairs in our home. She wasn't even close. So I kept crying!
Finally, she looked over the balcony in total disbelief toward my yelps for help and saw me, down in the basement. It was quite the ride or slide! She was down the stairs, two flights, almost as quick as I got down there. She was loving me, and checking me and so worried, but I was fine. I'M A MIRACLE! The angels were watching over me. That's why I'm the favorite!

That's a bit of my tales!
I've got lots more 'cause I'm the trouble maker!
These are my daughter's fighting. If you notice the one who looks like me, except her color, is winning! Like father, like ... daughter! And she was the runt! I say she's the real trouble maker!

Please join all the others over at DOT~Dogs On Thursday!

My mom showed me all kinds of new friends over there and human friends that love DOGS! Tell me how much you love me ... I otta have more comments then BRAVO ... he thinks HE'S the BEST just cuz he's BIGGER!

I have chosen: "I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that HE who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:3-6 NIV

from Nancy Leigh DeMoss
(1) Husband Encouragement Challenge
(2) Praying for Your Husband

This final week is Day 25-Day 30 of the ENCOURAGEMENTS
and Day 25 -Day 31 of the PRAYERS

This will probably be the last time that you will see this button on my blog:

as I tried to explain last Monday...this is Monday and I am talking about my Marriage but this is a button for a very special meme for Marriage Monday at Chrysalis the first Monday of every month. Please be sure to join them http://chrysaliscom.blogspot.com/ at Chrysalis on September 8, 2008 Topic: Why Romance Matters

Reminder: Blue/green letters= my words Black= Nancy's original text Red =God's Word Purple= Prayers

ENCOURAGEMENTs for this week:

Day Twenty-five:

"...seek peace, and pursue it." Ps. 34:14b

"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3

Before you consider whether these verses describe your husband, consider your own presence in the home. Do you promote an atmosphere of peace, or do critical words often flow from your mouth? Do you struggle with anger? If so, before you continue with your Encouragement Challenge, confess these sinful habits to the Lord, and determine to speak words of peace to your family today.
Does your husband bring an atmosphere of peace into your home? Is his presence a calming influence? Does he bring music, entertainment, books or people into your home that build a sense of serenity? Let him know how much you appreciate this wonderful quality, and support his choices.

If, on the other hand, he is quickly angered or he creates chaos rather than calm, ask God to give you an abundance of the kind of peace that will speak to his heart. Be patient and loving. Create an inviting atmosphere of peace, as much as possible.

Day Twenty-six:

"And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." Luke 2:52

If you have faithfully encouraged your husband, you will no doubt have seen some changes in his life ... and your own life, as well. Encouragement is a wonderful habit that we hope you will continue for the rest of your life.

The important thing is to keep growing in Christ and obeying the Word of God as you respond to your husband. As you consider today how to bless your husband and not tear him down, think of ways that you can encourage balance in your home. Jesus led a balanced life. He grew mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially. As you see your husband branching out in these areas, is there a pattern of growth? Is your husband striving for balance in his life? If so, let him know you have noticed, and ask how you can further encourage that balance.

If your husband is out of balance - focusing on one area to the exclusion of the others -consider whether there are things you can do to help restore or create balance in his life. Can you encourage times for sports or exercise? Keep the children quiet for a study time? Invite friends over for dinner? Stimulate his mind?

Be sure you are working toward balance in your own life, as well. Be an example!

Day Twenty-seven:
"Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD." Ps.31:24

You have almost completed the "30-Day Encouragement Challenge." Perhaps it has taken you a tremendous amount of courage to speak words of encouragement consistently to your husband. Courage comes as we place our trust in God. Have faith that God will continue to work long after your encouraging words have been shared.
There are lots of "tough guys" in the world, but true courage comes from the Lord. Does your husband exhibit the courage to take an unpopular stand, perhaps even to stand alone against evil? Is he courageous in his faith? Does he work hard to change injustice? Is he a stickler for the truth? Does he protect you or your family from the attacks of the Enemy?

Psalm 27:14 says this kind of courage comes from "waiting" on the Lord for His strength. If your budget allows, "award" your husband with a medal, trophy, framed picture of a brave knight, or some other token that represents his courage as a man of God. Praise evidences of your husband's courage in protecting you, your marriage, your family, or your home.

Day Twenty-eight:
"The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility." Prov.15:33

Sometimes, when we just "know" we are right and our husbands are wrong, it takes great humility to honor them. It is difficult to speak well of our husbands when our own hearts are puffed up with pride.

As part of your Encouragement Challenge today, pray that you will respond to the Lord in faith and humility before you react to your husband. Speak wisely and well, and leave the results to God.

The humility that comes from a right relationship with God - the humility that comes when a man is willing to listen to God and be taught from His Word - is indeed a beautiful quality. Jesus was an example of this kind of humility when he was willing to submit to His Father's will (John 6:38; Matt. 26:39).

Does your husband have that kind of humility? Is he willing to learn from and submit to direction from the Lord? Let your husband know how precious this is to your marriage relationship.

Day Twenty-nine:
"A prudent man foresees evil, and hides himself; the simple pass on, and are punished." Prov. 27:12

As you near the end of your Encouragement Challenge, take time to think about your husband's responses to the wickedness of the culture, the media, etc. Does your husband recognize and avoid evil? Does he regularly turn his back on pornography, sexual temptations, and the urge to lie and cheat?

This is a valuable character trait. Like Joseph in the Old Testament, who fled from the wicked advances of Potiphar's wife, this takes an understanding that these kinds of sins are first and foremost, sins against God (Gen. 39:9).

Praise your husband when he recognizes and turns his back on wickedness. If you can think of a circumstance where your husband stood for righteousness, remind him of that today-and express your gratitude.

Day Thirty:

"...This is my beloved, and this is my friend..." Song of Solomon 5:16b

Friends can be completely honest with each other, but friendships are strained when truth is not spoken in love. How are you speaking to your beloved? Are you so "used" to him that you don't appreciate the wonder of his friendship? That is your challenge today.

Is your sweetheart your best friend? Does he know this? Have you told him, or do you assume he "just knows"?
Friendship is something that is cultivated through the good times and the bad. Friends can share their hearts, but they don't step on each other's hearts.

The way to have and be a good friend is to cultivate and celebrate the relationship. As you end this "30-Day Encouragement Challenge," celebrate your friendship with your husband. Get alone and reflect on your beloved friend. Write him a letter, listing the qualities you admire and appreciate about him. If you are creative with words, write and frame a poem about him.

Perhaps you can prepare a special meal, just for the two of you, and read the letter or poem to him. Ask if you can pray for him, and if he is willing, thank God for your love and friendship, asking for His blessing on your home.
Encouragement, as you have seen these past 30 days, is a synonym for love in action. *** How has this challenge changed your heart and life, dear friend? Did God encourage as you planned ways to encourage your husband? Were there difficult days where you simply needed to trust that God was working? Days when it was hard to leave the results to God? Remember that God is faithful, and He will bless you for your willingness to obey Him. His ways are not our ways, and perhaps He will honor you in ways you do not expect, but one thing is sure - you will never be the same because of your commitment to be more like Christ!

What kinds of victories have you experienced in your home since you started the "30-Day Encouragement Challenge"? Would you take a moment to share these victories with us at REVIVE OUR HEARTS?
